After Chris had explained what had happened it felt like 300-pound weights have been lifted off my shoulders, I felt calm with his presence around me. I started to get red at the tip of my ears, you could tell he noticed but he didn't look like he wanted to mention it. We were sitting in silence for about a minute until I realized it was getting late. "Don't you think it's kind of late?" I said trying to break the silence. "Uh yeah, but I was kind of bored and I was just wondering if u wanted to hang out before I leave.. because--" He cut himself off. "Sorry, I'm just overthinking things, haha." He began to get up from where he was sitting, for some reason I had the urge to smell his spot. "I-I'd love to go out, but... I don't know, I don't know if I can trust you yet.." I said softly. "that's fine, Y/N. You can bring a friend if you want. I don't mind it just being two of us either, plus it does get awkward, hm?" He grabbed my hand and we headed out the door.

We headed to the nearest train station to meet up with my friend, Chris said his friend was gonna meet him at the station.

We met up with chris's friend "Richelle". What a strange name for a very attractive person, they had short coffee hair, it was curly and it looked soft. He had dark brown eyes and light lashes, they shone in the sunsets rays. He was about the same height as Chris just a little shorter, His lips were clearly chapped and thin. He had pale skin and he looked and dressed middle-class.

"Hey chris what's up?" He said dabbing up chris. He didn't bother introducing himself, he just got along with everyone I guess. Richelle has quieted down and averted their head to their phone, I, being a nosey person just wanted to see who they were talking to. i looked over their phone to see the contact "Bonnie". "Hey richelle do you talk to Bonnie L/N?? They're my best friend!" I said in shock. "Oh, Bonnie? I'm mutuals with them too." Richelle said pointing at his phone "He told me he was going out with his friend, what a coincidence, hm? Since you know we're heading towards their place." He laughed, His laugh was so attractive and i smiled back at him. I could tell he was moving closer to me, his heartbeat was racing, and so was mine. I could feel the heat in my cheeks rising. "Hey Y/N, I don't like public places like trains." Chris whispered in my ear to distance me from Richelle. "Do you mind if— I hold your hand, Y/N?" He said quieter than usual, he was so cute when he was flustered. I put my hand on his and dug my fingers in between his, his hands were soft and tense, you could tell he was genuinely anxious about this. his hands were cold and mine were warm, i could feel his heartbeat on my palm.

We got to our destination and started to walk to Bonnie's house. Chris didn't let go of my hand, it had gotten tighter since i've held on to it. Richelle was messing around with Chris, it was like they were telling each other things they already know. I was kind of envious of their relationship, they were so close, I kinda felt like a third wheel... even tho they weren't dating. We eventually got to Bonnie's place, ever since the incident last year we kinda got closer irl.

Bonnie was a 5'1" Mexican, he had split dye hair, big lips, a nice smile and he was just nice in general.

"Um, so, Chris— where are we going?" I said. Chris was still holding my left hand, he had his phone in his right hand. He was smiling at his phone and texting someone. I let go of his hand and approached Bonnie and Richelle, they were both talking and i just didn't wanna be around chris. "Hey Y/N! Do you know richelle?" Bonnie said "No not really haha.. He hasn't introduced himself to me." I said in a sarcastic tone.

Chris approached us, you could tell he was happy because of how red his cheeks were. "Hey guys" he said in a monotone voice.
I turned around and glared at him then i adjusted my body towards him. "Follow me." He winked and waved his hand towards his direction telling us to follow him. We were walking for about 10 Minutes, it was already sundown and it was getting dark. We were led to a small garden surrounded by short picket fences. You could tell it was old because of the overgrown vegetation growing on the benches and fences. there were tall willow trees and tons of flowers. "Hey chris... Do you come here alone? It's kinda scary." Bonnie stated. "I usually come here accompanied. i'm too much of a baby to come here alone." "accompanied by who?" Richelle asked but chris just kept quiet.
Chris could tell i was mad at him but he acted clueless, as always. Chris grabbed my wrist and ran away from the others "Walk faster, silly."

We were already far from Bonnie and Richelle. "Sit on the bench, Y/N." He held onto my shoulder and pointed down to the bench behind me, i sat. "Why'd you do that?" I looked up at him and he looked down at me. "I didn't wanna be near them, they're losers." he said in that same monotone voice. "They're your friends chris, I don't wanna be alone with you. That's the whole reason i brought them along." i said. "Y/N." "Hm?" He sat next to me putting his hand on mine. Chris looked up to the stars, he did mention one time that he liked astrology and all that nerd shit. "Would you hate me if i told you that I don't see them as my friends? I guess i just brought them along for fun since it's still kinda awkward between us. I really like you and want to spend the rest of my life with you." Chris leaned in closer to me. "Aren't you dating someone, Chris?" Chris stopped getting closer to me and froze in his spot, he looked away and his face left mine. "Sorry, I don't have a partner. I don't know what you're talking about." Chris said looking away. "Liar." "I wouldn't lie to you, Y/N. i've done everything for you and you just haven't realized it." Chris got up and walked into the darkness.
