I was at the beach with Ava, admiring the waves. She was hugging me from behind when suddenly, she let go. Confused, I turned around and asked:

"What happened?"

She took a step back, reached for something in her back pocket and she got on one knee.

Tears began to form in my eyes. She opened the little box revealing a perfect expensive ring.

"Will–"

"Yes!" I interrupted her, jumping to hug her. We rolled in the sand and laughed.

That was four years ago. Now we were at the same spot, holding hands, watching our daughter play in the water.
