Chapter 3 - Kiss?

-Alex's POV-

I woke up by the bright sunlight creepin' in trough the half closed curtains. I yawned and tried to adjust the birghtness. Then I remembered yesterday. What a good day it was. I also realized that i'd may be a little bit too forward with her last night. I giggled a little for myself. Maybe it's a good thing she said no. For all I know, that could be the end of it all, and hell I didn't want it to end.
I decided to get out of bed, and take a shower. I walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower. Meanwhile I waited for the water to get hot, I took of the t-shirt that I had slept in, and my underwear. Then I jumped in the shower. (Not literally though, that would be weird.)
I stood in the shower, deep in my own thoughts as water hit my skin.
*KNOCK, KNOCK*
I jumped a little as I heard the knocking. Gosh, and it's only 9am. I quickly turned off the shower and took the towel around my chest and down. I went to the door, then unlocked it. I was kinda surprised as I opened it.
-Piper?
-Heey, sorry, I didn't knew you were... yeah. She said a little embarresd and looked down.
-Oh, no it's okay. Just come in if you want. I said and held the door open.
-Oh sure. I was just wondering if you'd like to go back in the hills after? She asked.
-So I can beat your ass again? I smirked.
-Pf, don't be so cocky. I just wanna go skiing. She laughed.
-Yeah sure, i'm just gonna go get dressed, I said and made a hand gesture.
-Suit yourself. I said, then I walked back in the bathroom, leaving her by my bed. That sounds kinda weird, but oh well, this hotell-room was just a bedroom and a bathroom so.
I dried my hair, and put it up in a ponytail, then I put on some warm clothes to have under my skiing clothes. I walked out of the bathroom and found Piper looking at my books.
-I've always wanted to read this book. I heard her saying as she was holding the book 'All The Bright Places'.
-It's a really good one. You can borrow it if you want. I said, and walked over to her.
-Really? She lit up.
-Yeah. I smiled at her.
-Thank youuu. That's so sweet! She spoke.
We we're standing very close, and I held her gaze for a good while. She looked me back in the eyes, and I was about to lean in, when she pulled away. Her cheeks flushed in a red toned colour, and it was kind of an awkward silence.
-Are you ready to go? She asked. The tension got kinda awkward. I kinda couldn't figure out why she pulled away. I've even brushed my teeth. Lol. I choosed not to think too much about it, and just go along with it.
-Yeah, just gonna get my helmet.
Then we went out for the hills. Neither said much on the way towards the lifts. We spent on our skiis, and got on a lift. The silence was kind of a mood-killer, so I spoke
-It's nice weather for skiing today though. I said trying to kill the awkward tension.
-Yeah. She giggled. I think it worked. For now at least.

*8 hours later*
By now we we're back at the hotel. This time we we're at her room though.
-Do you read alot? She asked.
-Yeah I do, what about you? I replied.
-Not that much, but I read sometimes. She smiled.
I still felt like there were some awkwardness swirling around in the air around us, and it was very annoying.
-Uh, Piper. I'm sorry for earlier... I spoke. Hopefully this wouldn't make it worse. I just wanted to get this out of the world.
-Sorry for what? She asked kind of confused.
-You know... this morning. I may be a little spontanious. I tried to explain. I thought it would be awkward if I said it straight out: sorry that I tried to kiss you. Haha, that would just make it all weird.
-Oh, that. Don't apologize, it's just aswell my fault. She said.
-Not really. But... can I ask why you pulled away? I asked carefully. I got kinda nervous that she would say that she had a boyfriend or something. That would for sure be VERY awkward.
-Uhm. I don't know. She said and looked down at her hands.
-It's just... this is kind of new territory for me. She continued.
-Ah, I understand. You've never been involved with a girl before?
-To be honest, I haven't been much involved with anyone, really. She spoke quietly as if she we're a little embarresd about it. Woah. I must admit I was kinda surprised. Not that I thought she was a slut, but if I should of guessed, i'd think she'd been with at least 5 people.
-Oh. I said. I tried figuring out something more to say than 'oh', cause that's kind of a cheap answer.
-I know it's weird. I just haven't had time for it because of school and stuff, and to be honest, I find it kinda scary. She sighed.
-Scary? Why? I asked, and took her hand. I don't know why I did that, but, i'm not really good at comforting people, so that was my best sulution. I laced our fingers together and rubbed her hand with my thumb. Cause that's really nice, right?
-Well yeah. My sister has been involved with so many, and they are all jerks who have broken her heart, and seeing how broken hearted she gets everytime... it's not something I wanna end up in.
-But, babe, not every relationship is like that. Noone wants to get hurt, right, but at the same time, everyone wants love, and if you don't take the risk, you won't have anything. Risk the bad for the good, you know. I said, trying to sound poethic of some sort. She smiled a little.
-I'm not out after breaking your heart, Piper..
She looked at me. I didn't get to try figure what she was thinking before I felt something warm and soft hit my lips. As I realized what was going on, I kissed back. Everything felt different from the previous feelings i've had. It felt more passionate, and exciting. I moved my hand to her neck to support it. I felt her hand on my side. After a while we both pulled away in need for air. I watched her smile and blush slightly.
-You know, i've kissed many people in my life, but you're desirely the best till now. I said and bit my lip. I heard her chuckle a bit.
The clock was turning 11pm, and it was pitch black outside.
-I should probably get back to my hotelroom. I said and stood up.
-No, please don't. I heard her speak quietly.
-What?
-Can't you just stay here tonight? She asked and took my hand. It gave me a fuzzy feeling inside. It's kinda weird how in the beginning she was scared to kiss me, and now that she has, she wants me to stay with her the night.
-Uh, yeah sure. I replied. I couldn't say no. Ever since yesterday i've wondered how it would be to share a bed with her. Or wake up next to her.
-You can borrow a shirt if you'd like, I have plenty. She offered as she was looking for clothes to sleep in.
-Thank you. I said.
She gave me a black t-shirt with picture of 'The Script'. I liked that band. They had so many great songs. I went to see them live in Glasgow one time aswell, and they we're amazing.
She took out a white t-shirt for herself. I watched as she took off her current shirt. She was wearing a black lace bra, and damn. I quickly fixed my gaze onto something else so it wouldn't seem weird. I changed into the shirt I was borrowed aswell.
-What side of the bed do you prefer? She asked jokingly.
-Both. I winked. She giggled. She went over to the light switcher and took out the light. It was all black. I saw literally nothing. This time I had to use my perfectly good feeling sense to find the bed. I heard a little push, as if someone stumbled over the bags. -Fuck, ouch! I heard Piper swear. I couldn't help but let out a little laugh.
-Don't laugh, I could of died! She said dramaticly.
-Oh yeah for sure. I said in a saracstic way.
By now I had gotten in the bed, under the sheets. I heard Piper struggling to find her way.
-Where am I, i'm totally lost here. She said confused.
-The room isn't that big, babe. I laughed. I took out my phone and turned on the flash-light. I lighted the way for her, and she finally laid down. I turned it off, and put it on the night table. I snuggled into her neck and put my arm around her waist, as I pressed her tighter against me.
-Good night, I said and kissed her cheek.
-Night, Alex.
