Nate Jacobs's sister Chloe Jacobs finds herself in love with a boy named Ashtray. But it doesn't go so easy when her brother feels so much hatred for him and his brother Fezco.
Already around ten minutes late to meet with Ashtray. I was hurrying through the crowd of people hoping not to see anyone. But I wasn't lucky as I saw Maddy rushing towards me. Her look was filled with sadness and her eyes with tears. I hoped that my brother wasn't the one that did that to her. But I was hoping for nothing since I already knew he was. And I hated him for the things he did to Maddy. But knowing my brother nothing is going to change him from the way he is. The loudness of the carnival filled my ears as the girl hugged me, her tears wetting my chest. I hugged back.
"What happened?" I voiced, hugging the girl tighter than before.
"N-nothing," Maddy muttered, clearly not being okay but avoiding my question.
She moved her head away from my chest. Rushing through the crowd.
"Maddy!" I yelled but before I could say anything she disappeared.
I was filled with anger, the last person I wanted to see was my brother at the moment. I could only imagine what he has done to make her sad like that. And he was for sure going to pay for it.
I have moved around for a second my gazing at the tall ride next to me. Before someone snapped me away from my thoughts. It was one and only Nate.
I rushed towards him aggressively hitting him in the chest. "You piece of shit, what the fuck did you do to her?" I asked, my voice feeling up with anger
"I did nothing to her!" He lowered shooting into my face. "She's just a psychopath!"
"She fucking loves you, Nate! Do you realize that?" I yelled.
"She made a scene in front of our parents, Chloe," he explained "She embarrassed me and made me look like a fool!"
"And what did you do, Nate? I asked filling the anger building up in my veins. "What did you do, huh?
He just silenced. Looking at me as he saw a ghost. I hated him at the moment and I hated to argue with him. Seeing Maddy and him argue was constant. But today, by Maddy's face I could tell that was something serious, something that scared her. I was always there for Maddy when Nate and she argued and I could tell when he did something truly bad and when it wasn't just their little fights. And it happened more often, and I hated him for that. Maddy loved him with her whole heart and he didn't learn to appreciate as he should.
"I hate you." I voiced, as the last tear escaped from my eyes. I turned around rushing.
"Where are you going?!" Nate shouted as he saw me rush away from him.
"Not any of your business," I said giving him a last glance before disappearing.
I was rushing through the crowd before I saw a stand of presets. As I looked better I saw Ashtray through the blurriness of my tears.
I quickly opened the door of the stand. I hurried a step hugging him around his torso, my tears wettening his shirt.
"What happened?" He asked before hugging me back.
"I got into a fight with my brother," I answered, raising my head from his torso.
He looked at me for a second admiring my face. "That mother fucker."
He wiped away the tears from my cheeks.
"I don't know how I am going to face him tonight," I muttered.
"You can stay at mine." He offered, resting his hands on the counter behind him. "It's free for three days, no one is coming."
"You for real?" I asked.
"Yeah." He replied.
"Thanks, Ash," I replied, putting a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"No problem, darling." He said, staring into my eyes.
I felt safe when I was around him, he made me happy just by looking at him.
"Can I kiss you?" He questioned, glancing at my lips.
I was in shock at the moment. Just as we didn't kiss at the party before.
"W-what?" I asked, looking him right into his eyes.
"You heard me." He answered, with a smirk on his face getting closer to me.
I pulled him towards me as he kissed me. I returned the kiss. His arms went around my waist as my hands traveled from his torso to around his neck. The kiss made me forget about all the bad things that happened the minute before. Made me forget about what I had to deal with once I see Nate again or when I found out what he has done.
"Ayooo." A voice made us separate fast from each other.
"Fuck." We both muttered seeing Fezco leaning against the window of the stand.
"No funny business here you two," Fezco said, laughing at his announcement.
"Where's Rue?" I asked, totally forgetting about her going with Jules.
"I dunno. I guess she is on a date with some sailor moon-looking girl shi." He answered.
"Jules," I answered. I checked my phone to see that I have got missed calls from Nate.
"She is at ours tonight," Ash said, raising his head to face Fezco.
"Fine by me. I gotta go now. People out here waiting for me." Fez said pointing at the group of people.
"Bye Fez," I said.
"Have fun," Fezco shouted as he walked away from the stand.
