"Tuanku seems in a good mood"
"A little too good, something's off "
"Do you think he finally found a loved one?"
"More like he found a new prey"

I can hear you. I can hear all voices in this castle clearly and I know what will happen to all of you here. Dead. And it's all because of 'me'. I am now one of the characters in the novel I read last night. My little sister's fantasy novel.
"I hope I'll wake up anytime soon because this is not a good dream at all.", I mumbled to myself.

The novel was quite popular among teenage girls. A fairytale story where there was a princess who's the female lead, named Suri. She was fated to be loved by everyone, your typical kind and graced female lead, am I right? In the story, she marries a man, or specifically, the crown prince and they become the most loveliest couple in the story. But of course, there's going to be lots of bad stuff happening alongside the happy couple. The crown prince will have many people trying to assassinate him, curse him and one of them is 'me', I mean, the person I'm looking at in the mirror right now.

People called him Raja Muzaffar or could be worse, Raja Bersiong. Yup, the king who drinks blood and is also obsessed  with destroying the crown prince's kingdom. As a strong female lead, the princess, who is now the queen, always protects her beloved husband from any harm. She'd slaughter anyone within a night.

The people from the crown prince's kingdom are all worried about the cases of assassinations happening in the middle of the forest but it somehow subsided as the news of the assassins got beheaded from trying to kill the king. Supposedly, Raja Bersiong knew about this assassin killer but he didn't know who's the person behind it.

Right now, all I have to do is just wait for this dream to end and I hope this dream is not the chapter of the day Raja Bersiong died.

I continued walking on the palace grounds. At least the scenery is not bad. The gardeners really know what they're doing. I caught one of them staring at me as he quickly turned his gaze to the flowers he was watering just now. Maybe the word 'chill' has not been invented yet in this era.

"Kanda! Did you steal my hairpin?!"

The familiar feeling of having siblings made me groan. Argh I almost forgot, Raja Bersiong also has a little sister, Seroja. In the novel, Seroja was told to be a snobbish princess, always ordering the dayangs around. It says that Seroja can't stand being humiliated but if any dayang dares to, she'll slaughter them and drink their blood in front of the others.

"Seroja, mother wouldn't like it if you talk with that attitude"
"I talk politely with mother, because she never stole my stuffs"
"I never stole your stuffs"
"I found my hairpin on your bed!", she said, showing the hairpin to me.
"Ahh, this one. That's because you left it at Balairong Seri yesterday. On my throne"

Seroja loses her words and lowered her gaze to the floor. I always win arguments with my sister, I didn't know it also works in this dream.

"You should really stop playing pretend-queen. You're not even one."
"YET"

Seroja sticks her tongue out and runs away. She's really getting on my nerves. I have no time dealing with kids anyway, so when will I wake up? It feels like it's been forever, I'm even done touring the whole palace. As I was wondering what time it was, one of the dayangs came up to me, hesitantly handing me a letter.

"Tuanku, here is a letter from Cenderawasih Kingdom."
"Thank you."

I took the letter while the dayang seemed a little shocked by my action. What? Did the novel Raja Bersiong usually snatched the letters and sneer at them? I shrugged it off and opened the letter.
