She was tired, she'd hardly been fed, and she hadn't been given even a drop of water, for, what she assume was, a whole day. Safe to say, Sakura Haruno was pissed. That meant that she wasn't exactly in the best condition when He walked in. Describing the man as 'strange' is an understatement. He wore clothes similar to those of a merchant, but he had the regal of a lord. Of course, she'd only seen a lord once when Iruka has taken the class on a trip to see a festival, which the fire lord had attended, still that was what the man had reminded her of.His hair, she assumed, was either yellow-orange or silver, depending on the light eminating from the hallways as he walked into the room, her cell. He introduced himself as - what was it again? - she'd forgotten. After all, you can't expect a starved girl to remember that much detail. Especially since, she gave a screaming fit the moment he walked in. He was talking for a while, she knew that much, because she only stopped screaming when he made his way out of the room, what she does remember was the silver glint, and the sound of metal dropping as he left the room. Of course, as a shinobi, her first thought should have been that it was a trap, and that there is no way, that, the person who seemed to be the leader, would painstakingly obviously dropped the keys to her cell, in front of her cell and not return for it. But he didn't. Or anyone else for that matter. So of course, Sakura Haruno did what she knew would be the next best thing.
She took the key, opened her cell, and fled. Not that it was that easy.
The chains clung to her skin, digging into her if she even moved the slightest. Not that she can't endure the pain, never the less, it was still irritating. Especially when there was a key barely two meters in front of you, glinting under the light. Taunting you. If she had her normal strength, she would have easily broken the chains, she knew that, but when she first woke up, her chakra had been drained, and though she could feel it returning, it was agonizingly slow. She tested her strength, pushing pressure on the chains that bound her hands. There was a crack as the rusty metal broke on her right hand, followed by another crack on her left. She rubbed her wrists mindlessly, she could see angry red marks where the cuffs used to be.
She unchained her feet in the same way and part-walked, part-crawled, and part-stumbled to the key. Her legs felt weird to her, like jelly, it was unusual for someone like her, who prided herself in control, to have no control over her own two feet. At least not enough to stand properly. When she reached the key, she finally found some semblance in her walking and managed to put the key into the lock. After 5 times. Her hands were shaking too much, which, she swore to herself, was something that Sasuke Uchiha will never find out.
The classroom, to most, would appear like a very normal class. Students, who did nothing but chatter, a few half asleep or were lounging in the classroom as if it were their home, and some who were naturally quiet. Safe to say that it was a normal day. Almost.
Except that the most punctual person Iruka had ever had the grace of teaching, was absent. Had been for the past two days.
The class clown and resident prankster hadn't tried to ditch the class as soon as Iruka entered it. Neither did anything fall on his head as he entered the class, for the past two days. Not that it was peaceful, it was however, reserved to shouting, drawing, and full on ignoring his class.
Those and a few more other things noticable only when you've spent almost everyday for nearly 6 months together. A wide awake boy, or one that ate too little. A few, more reserved than they normally were. And less fighting.
