Chapter 1

"Hello Katherine" A voice said as they walked into the room

Katherine quickly got up from hugging me. I dried my tears as I saw Stefan, quickly getting up, I ran to him, hugging him.

"Two days, I've been waiting I'm supposed to be free from Klaus' compulsion by now. He's supposed to be dead" Katherine started to question him angrily.

"We ran into complications" Stefan said his arm still around me.

"Complications?" Katherine stated in disbelief
I zoned out as they argued then all of a sudden Stefan lets go and Katherine pushes Stefan up against the wall. I stand there watching Nik and Elijah enter the room.

"Klaus your back." She says looking at him "look who decided to come for a visit" Katherine said as she let go of Stefan, pulling him into view.

"You just keep popping up don't you" Klaus said as he looked at Stefan then back at me.
"Hello love" I hated it, I hated him.

He killed my friend and thinks that even with the whole mate thing I will still wanna talk to him?! I mean I do, but he doesn't need to know that.

"I need your help..... With my brother" Stefan said interrupting my thought process
"What's wrong with Damon?" I said in worry

Damon and I were like best friends. He was there when I found out I had powers. I was scared and he helped me. I thank him for that.

I will never forgive him for what he did to Caroline, but I asked Caroline if she was ok with our friendship. She said it was ok and that even though he is a dick, he helped me and she semi forgives him for that.

Me and Caroline have always been close even though I am 3 years older then her.

"Well whatever it is, it's gonna have to wait a tick. You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention" Klaus said as he walked away.

"You understand how important family is, or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own." Elijah said as he looked at Stefan not noticing Klaus sneaking behind him.

"And so I shall" he stabbed him with the dagger, killing him.

I gasp and run to Elijah side as Klaus runs in, inhuman speed towards Stefan. He pushes him against a wall

"Now what am I gonna do with you?" Klaus puts a stake through Stefan.

"Do you feel that? It's scraping against your heart. The slightest movement and you're dead." Klaus spoke to Stefan.

"He's just trying to help his brother" I said scared for him

"The witches said you had a cure. Make me a deal just give me the cure. I will do whatever you want.'' Stefan begged. While Nik was busy I tried to pull out the dagger from Elijah's heart.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you love" Nik says stabbing Stefan deeper stopping me from taking the dagger out. Klaus drops him and walks to the counter.

"Trouble is I don't know if you'd be any good to be the way you are now. You are just shy of useless." Klaus poured blood in a glass. He crouched down to speak

"I heard about this vampire, Crazy bloke, always on and off the wagon for decades. When he was magnificent. 1917, he went into Monterrey and wiped out an entire migrant village... A true ripper. Sound familiar?" He questioned

"I haven't been that way in a very long time" Stefan looked away

"Well, that's the vampire I can make a deal with. That's the kind of talent I can use when I leave this town. Katherine come here" he said as he got up.

Katherine walks to him slowly scared for what he is about to do. Klaus grabbed her arm and bit into it.

Katherine cried in panic. He bit his wrist and then shoved it into her mouth.

"You want the cure? There it is"
"Your blood is the cure"
"Gotta love Mother Nature"

"Now lets talk you and I" Nik walked to the counter. Klaus put his blood in a container.

"There it is' you want to save your brother? How 'bout a decade-long bender? And I have big plans for when we leave this town"

"I'm not like that anymore"

"Well that's to bad. You would have made one hell of a wing man" Klaus started to pour his blood down the drain. "Wait!" Stefan panicked

"Now that's more like it. I want you to join me for a drink" Klaus throws Stefan a blood bag. Stefan slowly opens it and takes a sip.

"Finish it. All of it. You do everything I say, and I save your brother. That's the deal."

Stefan finishes it, Klaus throws another at him

"Again"

After a couple more blood bags Klaus spoke. "You're very cooperative. Its almost as if you're enjoying it"

I finally spoke up after growing some balls " Enough. Damon is dying and you still haven't given him the cure"

"Not until we make a deal. Its your choice, Stefan. You can either live remain here living your life in Mystic Falls, or you can embrace what you truly are, leave town with me, and save your brother's life" Klaus said with a smug grin knowing what Stefan will choose.

He walks to Stefan and hands him a blood bag. Oh how I would love to use my magic but I would probably end up burning the place to the ground killing everyone. Stefan snatches it and drinks all of it.

"That's the spirit."

He goes up to Katherine and looks at her. "Sweetheart. Take this to Damon and come right back"

"You want me to leave?"she questioned. She looked and me and I saw concern in her face. I shook my head as to say I will be ok. I trust she will get it to him in time.

"No!" Stefan yelled in panic
"Yes and if I were you...."

Katherine smiled at me and then quickly left before he can finish his sentence
"I'd hurry" he finished

"She'll never take it to him. Ruby he's gonna... She'll never take in to him" Stefan mumbled
I walked to Stefan to comfort him.

An hour later and we are at a warehouse

Stefan and Klaus talk about god knows what as I look at Elijah coffin. I hear screaming and see a girl with Stefan at her neck I quickly look away. I felt as it were my fault for not being able to save her.

I can't do one little spell to save my life. I found out I had powers two week ago but that's not an excuse bonnie found out she had powers a couple months ago and now she is a very powerful witch. I'm to weak.

Klaus walked up to me. "its time to leave love"

"Get away from me" I stated

"Your still mad?"

"You killed my friend!"

"You'll get over it" he said

"I hate you" I snapped back at him

He frowned but quickly covered it with a smirk
"Everyone does love. Now get in the car before I make you"
