chapter 4

So here we are. Walking up a mountain to find a wolf pack, and by we i mean Nik and Stefan. I am currently on Nik's back as he walks up the mountain.

I got tired 5 steps in and Nik offered to carry me, of course i had to take him up on the offer.

Right now Stefan and Nik were arguing. "You ok? is Ray getting to heavy for you?" Stefan glared at Nik while adjusting Ray to a more comfortable placement. "I'm fine."

"You sure about that. We've been walking for quite some time now, If you want some water or a little sit down" Nik mocks him "Why do you always have to be an ass to Stef." i say to Nik.

"Ow!" I jump in surprise as he pinches my thigh to shut me up. Stefan just looks at us with dark eyes.

"You know, I get that we're uh... that we're are stuck together, but if we could just, i don't know not talk, that would be great."

"Well someone has sass in them today" Nik slightly hits my thigh as if that's gonna shut me up. "So much brooding. Your self-loathing is suffocating, my friend."

"Maybe its because I'm tired of the two of you flirting all the time and hunting werewolves. We've been doing it all summer." Stefan glared at him.

"That's what she said" I laugh as i take my change to make things not turn into a fight. "Love, stop before i punish you" Nik whispers into my ear.

Bitch who does he think he is?

I glare at the back of his head. "Well thanks to our buddy Ray, we found ourselves a pack." Nik continues. "Right here"

Jumping off his back i look around. I love the woods, its peaceful. Suddenly a woman runs over to Rays body

"Oh my god, Ray! What happened?! Who are you?" She looks at the three of us.

"The important question is who am I" Cocky son of a bitch "Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus." He smirks at them. "You're the... you're the hybrid."

"You've heard of me. Fantastic" He grins

Getting bored of the conversation i walk to a wooden seat. A few minutes go by before I hear a gasp. I turn to see ray sitting up in frantic. "Excellent timing Ray, very dramatic." Nik smiles

"What's.... What's happening to me" Ray cries out. I try to walk to him to help but Nik grabs my arm and pulls me into his chest, with his arms around my chest keeping me there.

"Stefan" Stefan gets up and walks in front of Ray. "Are any of you human? Your friend needs human blood to complete his transition. If he doesn't he will die." Stefan says "doesn't take much, just a sip. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend?"

"What about Her" The same woman from before said pointing at me. Nik looks at me then back to the woman. "let me make one thing clear." he runs to the woman, Choking her."Nik!" I yell.

"None of you will harm a hair on her pretty head, and if you do. Well,..... I'm gonna wish you were never born." My lord I should not be getting butterflies .

He lets go before he looks a man. "You." He rushes over and grabs him by the arm and drags his to ray. He throws him to Stefan.

"If you don't drink, i will, problem is i don't know how to stop." I stop listening and i pick up flowers. Walking deeper into the woods.

I think 20 minutes go by before i stop looks for flowers. I look up to see what has happened and why its so quiet. I then realize that i have no fucking clue where I am.

I start walking the way i think i came from but i can't find anything. "Nik...." I call out when i hear something growl.

"Stefan.... this isn't funny" I say trying to not cry. I let out a very load scream when i get pushed to the ground.

I look to see a wolf growling in my face. I throw my hands out and throw the wolf into a tree. I felt bad but i ran as fast as i could. I could barely see, my eyes were full of tears.

I ran and ran until i hit a chest. I look behind me to see the wolf gone. I start crying in the persons chest, holding on for dear life.

"Love, hey, love what happened. Sweetheart please calm down i need you to calm down and talk to me. I need words"

I kept crying ass he held me. God i felt so scared. I thought I was gonna die, all because I can't do magic. I soon fall asleep in Nik's lap.

Waking up in a bed i look to see Nik sleeping on the couch next to the bed. It was 2 o'clock. I try to sleep but i can't. It was now 2:21 AM. I got up and walked to Nik. I tap on him trying to wake up.

"Yes love" He looks at me with tired eyes. "I.. uh.." I look at the floor. "I can't sleep" He lifts my head with his hand to look him in the eyes. "That's all you had to say" He says as he helps me into bed and get behind me.

I cuddle into his chest and he wraps his arms around me. "Goodnight my love" i soon fell right to sleep.

Chicago. I'm in fucking Chicago.
I had thought that maybe, maybe, i would be able to go home but no. Nik wanted to go to Chicago for god knows what.

"Welcome back to Chicago Stefan." Nik smiled. Honestly i could go for some Ice cream not gonna lie. "Hey Nik could we-"

"What are we doing here" Stefan cut me off I glared at him for a second before going to speak again but this time Nik is the one to cut me off.

"Well I know how much you loved it here. Bring back memories of the good old ripper days?"Nik questioned him

"Blacked out most of them. Lots of blood and partying. The uh... The details are all a blur"

My lord give me the patience to deal with these two "Well that's a crying shame. The details are what makes it legend" Nik finishes

"Are you two done or can i finish talking" I look at them waiting for a response "Well go on love"

"Thank you. Anyways, as I was saying before i got interrupted-"I pause looking at Stefan "I was wondering-" "Well that's not a good thing" Stefan did his stupid 'I think i'm funny when really i'm not' smile

"Stefan if you interrupt me one more time I'm gonna shove my foot up your-" "Sweetheart no need to get violent" Nik smirks at me "ANYWAYS. I want Ice cream soooooooo" I smile at him

"Fine lets go"

"Chicago was magical" Nik says as he looks at me. I was eating my rocky road ice cream. Literally the best thing every. I ignore their conversation like I usually do.

When we get to the door Nik opens it and holds it open for me, letting it go in Stefans face. I giggled.

''Looks familiar doesn't it?"
"I can't believe this place is still here" Stefan looks around in surprise

"You've got to be kidding me" A older lady walked up to us. Nik smiles at her. "So a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bartender-"
"Stop you may be funny but that doesn't make you invincible, but that doesn't make you funny" She points at him.

She turns to look at Stefan "I remember you" She then turns to you "Now you, I don't think we met yet. I would of surely remembered a pretty face like you. I'm Gloria" She holds her hand out to shake mine

I blush as I shake her hand "I'm Ruby" "Ruby... What a beautiful name" She says making me turn even more red.

"Um aren't you supposed to be..." Stefan trails off "Old and dead?" Gloria finishes for him "Now if i die who's gonna run this place, huh?" Gloria smiles at us.

"Stefan why don't you and Ruby go and fix up a little something from behind the bar?" Nik butts in

"Yeah, sure thing" Stefan says as he grabs my hand and led me to a chair. I sit there finishing my Ice cream when all of a sudden Stefan says "What is this?" I look up to see him holding a photo

"Well, I told you, Stefan. Chicago's a magical place."Nik grins at him

"But this is me." He pauses "With you" He turns the photo to show him and Nik smiling ear to ear with his arm around Nik"
