"Well, Mayor Jackson... I ain't got nothing but time. I cleared out my schedule for the rest of the day, so you can tell me this long story you're talking about," Evan laughed.

I rolled my eyes, and I continued, "Well... to cut to the chase, you know I have ambitions..."

"Ok... You got my attention now..."

"I'm sure I do now, Mr. Taylor. After completing my two terms as Mayor of Atlanta, I want to go up the ladder once more," I smirked, leaning back in my office chair and putting my feet on my desk.

"The Governor's office?"

"Bingo!" I smiled.

"You slick motherfucker, I knew it... I knew it," Evan whispered as if someone was listening to our conversation.

"To be the first black governor of a state that formerly belonged to the Confederacy would be game-changing, not only for us but for our state... and you're the piece of the puzzle that's missing to make that a reality... I need you, Evan."

"What do you need me for, man?" Evan asked, intrigued by my proposition.

"Nigga, be real... I know you are a political mastermind... I know what you are capable of... I know what we could be capable of together... You, Evan Micheal Taylor, I want you to form my exploratory committee, run my campaign, then become my Chief of Staff once we win the Gubernatorial campaign in the Great State of Georgia! I have seen what you are capable of... and let's be honest, we can raise all of the money we need to run the entire campaign right here in the Atlanta metro! Sixty percent of the state lives here anyway... and we can do the same thing I did to get me here, but it'll be on a way larger scale. You feel me, bruh?" I exclaimed.\
