~ Chapter 3 ~

A few seconds have passed as if they were decades. You don't know what to expect from this point nor you know what you'd like him to answer.

It's not like you're madly in love with him or so, since you've been working in his company for less than 3 months, but you can't deny you were curious about him. In fact, you knew who you were going to start working with. You knew them. And you always were curious about Bang Chan.

Once you arrived you can't say there have been too many interactions between you two, but enough to feel something. Something dangerous for him as an artist, and something dangerous for your professional future.

- He's a social butterfly and you're no special - you repeated endlessly to convince yourself everytime he passed by, everytime he greeted you, everytime he looked at you. And also, everytime he asked YOU to help him with something about his make up or his outfits.

Life's not a movie, and yes, he's someone who loves to make things right and would put himself at risk just to talk things face to face even with a "simple" coworker like me.

So even if we make clear to each other that this is just a chance encounter between us maybe we should just end it right now for the better...

- I've just thought of something - you lift up your face enough for your eyes to be visible for him - Do you have your make up stuff here?

You can't understand what's in his mind after all the questions you've asked to him just a minute ago.

-I'm confused. Not gonna lie...

- Hahaha it's just I'd like to test something now that I'm alone with just ONE professional and not several who do their thing on their own

You don't know why but, you're so curious about his petition that you stand up and go to get your makeup bag, feeling his satisfied smile behind you.

- You're lucky today, cause I don't usually bring this stuff home

- Woah double luck then! - what he's so happy about?

- Okay tell me about that idea of yours... - looking at him from your height cause you haven't sit on the sofa since you arrive with the bag

- Hmmm... I'd like to try some other colors that are not the usual brown. Maybe... blue? very dark blue? I've never worn blue makeup or dyed my hair blue either and I'm curious about it? - with a very big smile, mouth closed, directed at you in a way you can't impossibly say no.

After placing your bag on the table in front of the sofa, you finally sit down again. But this time, there's no gap between you two. Of course there isn't, because you can't put any makeup on someone who is meters away.

- It's been a while since I've done makeup freely to someone. Do you trust me this much? - you're trying your best to act like a professional when you are so close to him you can see his little freckles...

- No answer needed. I know I'll like it - he closes his eyes with a face of satisfaction, ready to enjoy your magic

You knew exactly what to do because... as a makeup artist, as a fan, and as someone attracted to him...you've thought several times about different styles on him and how fun and great it would be to try.

While you're working, you haven't noticed how you've forgotten about your worries and your need to know his answers.

You're so comfy right now, you begin to hum a song that is not unknown to Chan.

- Oh I remember that time when I entered a room by mistake and I found you there all alone singing Blueprint with your whole chest

- You WHAT!?? - you push him on the shoulder, panicking as ever

- HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm sorry you didn't see me nor noticed I was there for a few seconds before I closed the door again HAHAHAHAHA - it's inevitable for him to open his eyes in this moment just to laugh at you and see your reaction

- Aw SHUT UP you're gonna ruin the makeup again!! - your face is so red and your cheeks so hot you think you're about to steam

- Excuse me Ma'am I couldn't keep that moment just for me anymore HAHAHAHA

He's still giggling at your reaction to his secret about you but at least he's now keeping his eyes closed so you can keep going with your practice.

Anyway, the chosen style wasn't more than a regular smokey eyes effect but this time made from a blue base and darkened in the eyelid with a very dark navy blue, almost black.

- Okay I'm done

- Can I see?

You can't hide your satisfaction with the result, but you don't really know if he'll like it though since it's something very new for him.

You approach your phone and turn on the camera on mirror mode.

- What if you don't like it? I'll be embarrassed forever...

- Just give me that

You hide your face with one hand and lend him your phone with the other, but couldn't restrain yourself from looking at his reaction.

- Woaaaahhhh, this is what I expected! - A shy bright begins to appear in your eyes as you see him admiring your work

- Do you really like it? - you sound like begging

- I don't like it. I LOVE it! I didn't expect a different color would change the result this much - he's really showing his happiness with the result

After exhaling all the tension you were holding before seeing him so happy with your practice, you take the instinctive confidence to lean a little forward and rest your forehead in his right shoulder.

- I was so nervous you can't imagine...

If it wasn't for the sudden silence you would have not noticed what you were doing right now

- Omg I'm sorry - hiding your face behind your hands one more time and missing Chan's red ears in the proccess

- No no... I'm thankful for this. Really. I wanna have this makeup done for some stage or presentation in the future.

- You know what? this eyeshadow with those light blue contact lenses you use sometimes... I can't think of anything more perfect

Once again, you and your mouth bringing the silence between you two. With this little chaos created, you stand up and talk to him without even looking.

- Eeer... you must be tired so, I'm going to get the cleaner cause you can't stay like that.

- It's a shame... but you're right...
