Large fireworks ignited the sky, the clash of the different colours in different various patterns made everyone in the crowd go wild.

'This carnival seems fun! Why did Anzai react so violently against it?" Yui questioned herself as she stared in awe at the gorgeous fireworks that lit the night along side with the stars that resembled sequins in the sky.

"You two should go and enjoy the carnival too. Just don't wander too far, you have to protect the citizens tonight." The twins' father spoke joyously as he patted their shoulders before vanishing.

"He's never that happy, what's gotten into him lately?" Sakaki clicked his tounge in annoyance while stealing glances at his sister. With her back faced to him, he couldn't really see her facial expression.

"It might be due to the special arrival of him. They're both really good friends if i recall." Anzai spoke softly, her voice barely audible as she left the castle and went to look for someone in particular.

"We'll split up from here, before meeting back here at exactly 2000 hours." Reiji's tone was as strict as ever as he took his leave to visit the grand ballroom in the castle.

Meanwhile, yui decided to take a small stroll around the carnival to sneak a peak at what exhilarating events this place had to offer. While she was examining the cotton candy on sale, she was suddenly picked up and slung over a certain vampire's shoulders.

"Y..yuma?!" She squeaked in embarrassment as she squirmed in his strong arms.

"Shut up, we're going to look around now. Be grateful that I'm taking you with me sow." He slyly added the comment before taking yui to visit the various other booths with games and activitives.

"Tch. Where could she be?" Subaru ticked his tounge in annoyance as he scanned the area for yui but could seem to find her in the sea of other demonic creatures that roam the carnival. Suddenly, he spotted someone who looked seemingly familiar to him...

As he took ahold of the person's wrist, he looked up to find a pair of eyes staring back at his. Not in annoyance, but in curiosity.

"Subaru? What are you doing here?" Anzai questioned the albino vampire whose face was tinted red with embarrassment.

"I was... looking... erm.. for You!" He suddenly blurted out his answer without thinking twice. It took a mini second for him to realise what he had just said, too late, he couldn't take the words back even if he wanted to.

"Me? What do you want with me? If you want to look around the carnival I'm fine with that." Anzai shrugged as she carefully slid her wrist out of subaru's iron grasp. Subaru's face turned deep red as he looked away before clicking his tounge yet again.

The blinding lights shone brightly on the streets with flies attempting to reach the light source by tapping against the glass and the stall vendors exclaiming loudy for the vampires to join in the games. Throughout the walk, both vanpires remained silent, they hadn't really spoken to each other often enough to even come up with a decent conversation.

"S.so, do you have any ride that you want to go?"

"Not really."

"I see...then there's not much use of us walking around here aimlessly.." subaru tried to continue the conversation to the best of his ability but it wasn't coming too well.

"Actually, although this carnival is a pain in the neck, there is somewhere that I want to visit.." Anzai spoke outloud to her companion, her face just as red as his eyes now.

"Hmm? Where do you want to go then?" Subaru's eyes lit up with interest as she paused.

"The .... shop."
