The phone intervened with Harry's quiet slumber, causing him to jump slightly in fright before picking up the irritating device. He'd scan the lettering at the top which read "Unknown caller ID".
Probably another prank call, The curly haired boy thought, turning it on silent and placing it on the arm of the sofa he had been resting on.
Before he could get anymore shuteye Louis burst into the living room with his phone on speaker, a women at the other end of the line.
"I'm with him now" Louis said, walking over and sitting in front of Harry's extended legs.
His face was filled with excitement and impatience however, Harry was confused as to what was going on.
Louis put the phone on mute and informed the other boy;
"It's Jennifer, the social worker we've been talking with."
Harry sat himself up, placing a hand on top of Louis free one and lacing their fingers together.
He'd unmute.
"I've just been informed of a women who's due to give birth in 2 months however she no longer wishes to keep the baby and would like someone to give it a safe home. Now, I know we were talking about waiting a bit longer but I think you two are ready if you're up for it."
The pair looked at each other, Harry's eyes beginning to fill with tears. For a few seconds, reality almost seemed like a dream for the two. They embraced so tightly that little to no air was left between them.
"I still need an answer." The women chuckled slightly.
"Yes, yes, yes." Louis squirmed, his eyes too, filling with tears.
"Well then congratulations Fathers to be, I will arrange a meeting for you both and the mother, that way you can get to know her a bit."
"Alright, Thank you so much Jennifer."
"No worries, talk later."
"Bye"
The phone call ended and once again, Harry and Louis hugged however, this time, they sobbed into each other's shoulders, not letting go until both had cried every last tear.
