CHEPTER FIVE

I Miss You too, Cuddle Bug

As I near the clearing in the training grounds, I can see whips of fire slashing.

"Hey! You finally managed to latch your fire to your dual swords. That's great Kazuya!" I said sitting on branch a bit further away from her.

"I know. I just got the hang of it." Kazuya said as she put her swords back in the sheath. "You know, you always seem to forget about me when you're with Yamato."

"What! I don't – I – I wasn't – ." As I struggle to form words, I saw her teasing smile and wicked eyes look at me.

"Shut up Kazuya." I walked towards her and pulled her hair lightly but enough to make her wince, "I didn't forget about you. Something just came up. How did you even know that I was with him?"

"You have that love sick smile on your face." She smirked, "It's obvious that you like him."

"Shut up. Now, show me what you got so far. Spar with me."

I walked towards the center of the clearing. Pulling the hair stick off my hair, letting my hair fall, and the hair stick glowed with blue fire as it forms into a sword.

Kazuya sighed and stood in front of me with her hands on her hips.

"You know, you're such a show off with that hair stick of yours." She said and took out her own dual swords and it immediately lit up with orange fire., "But I can do it too."

"Bring it sister!"

I laughed at that and she started to attack while I dodge most of her swings and whips of fire. Her version of the fire sword is that, not only does both of her swords are on fire, you can see that the fire extends further than the actual sword, forming whips of fire that can reach the opponent if they manage to dodge the sword itself. At least, that's the idea we want to work on, and it seems to be working. While my sword's blade is purely made of blue fire with my hair stick acting as the hilt.

She jumped in front of me, swinging her right sword, so I jumped to dodge it only to be met by her left one. I blocked it my sword and used its force to help me jump away from her. It didn't stop her from attacking, so I jumped above her. She acted fas, because as soon as I jumped, she knew that her sword won't reach so she used that opportunity to swing her left sword to whip her flames at me. I can't block it my sword 'cause she'll only snatch it away by wrapping her fire whips around it.

"Fire style Jutsu!" producing enough fire and distraction to shield myself from her attack.

I didn't even have the time to regain myself after landing when I saw her charging towards me, fast. Her left sword caught me by surprise that I fell down but I manage to block it but I felt her fire tug my sword away from my hands. I see her swing her right sword and hit my arm. Kazuya stopped and gave a triumphant smile. It only lasted for as second though. Her smile vanished when she felt my sword close to her neck and I was standing behind her with another kunai to her back.

"You really should start practicing that patience of yours. Your recklessness could get you killed one day." I said and made my wounded shadow clone disappear.

"But, how?" Kazuya asked while staring on the ground where she struck my clone, "I made sure to move fast enough not to give you chance to do anything."

"Yes. You made sure that you were attacking. You were so focused on attacking, too focused on what you'll do next that you didn't even notice that I already made my move during one of your attacks."
