4- terri knows

Effy's POV

Space girl by Frances Forever begins to play through my ears. I smile gently knowing that across the hallway Robert is listening to that song. I close one of us is lying as I have finished it. I decide to pick a new book from my TBR that I brought and place it on my nightstand to start in the morning. I chose "they both die in the end". I wander downstairs and into the kitchen to grab my laptop and charger. Terri gives me a small wave as I walk past the living room which I return.

Walking back into my bedroom I pull the covers back on my bed and open my laptop, logging into it and pulling up disney plus. I click on The Rocky Horror Picture Show as it is my comfort movie and the music just makes me happy. I decide to put a pair of baggy joggers and an oversized bambi jumper on as Terri has the air conditioning on and my room is freezing. I jump into my bed and press play on the film. The opening theme filling my ears and bringing a gentle smile to my face. I focus my attention to the lips on the screen.

Terri's POV

I walk back into the house after taking the dogs for a walk and see Effy and Robert cuddled up on the sofa together. A gentle smile makes its way onto my face as I know they are soulmates. Effy's parents told me her tattoo and I told them Robert's, we were delighted when we found out they matched. They seem like such a cute couple and like they would get together even if this soulmate thing wasn't happening.

I quickly take my phone out and take a photo to send to Effy's mum as I know she will find it adorable. She replies to my text saying how cute the photo is and asks how Effy is settling in. I let her know that Effy is settling in great and how much I love having her around. I also ask her mother to send me a photo of Effy's room because I'm going to buy loads of things for her to decorate her room with to make it seem like she is home when she is with us.

Once I have gotten the photo I buy her some bed sheets that I think she will like along with some wall decorations. I pay for next day delivery and decide that I'm going to surprise her with it.

I decide to ask Robert to take Effy out for the day so I can get her room decorated without ruining the surprise. I knock on his bedroom door before opening it and sticking my head into the room. To my surprise I see him asleep on his bed. I gently shake him awake. He lets out a groan before opening his eyes and looking up at me. "Would you mind taking Effy into the city tomorrow? I want to set up her bedroom as I bought some decorations to put up." I ask.

He just gives me a nod before sitting up. He walks over to his wardrobe before pulling out a t-shirt and a hoodie. He then walks over to his drawers and pulls out a pair of shorts. I walk out of his room and let him change. I walk to the room on the other side of the hall and knock. "Come in." I hear through the door and I push the door open and sit on the side of Effy's bed. "Robert is going to take you shopping tomorrow because I have a surprise I need to get ready." I say. "Oh you didn't have to Terri, thank you so much!" Is her enthusiastic response. I give her a gentle pat on the hand and walk out the room. I go downstairs and decide to order food for dinner as I can't be bothered to cook anything tonight.

After ordering the food I decide to go into the living room and watch a film.

Robert's POV

I knock on the door to Effy's room after changing into the shorts and t-shirt. The hoodie is in my hand. Once she has said come in I open the door. I stand in the doorway for a second. She looks so beautiful.

Sitting on the bed with her I glance at her laptop screen and see that Rocky Horror is playing. She turns to look at me and her bright blue eyes bore into mine. I tear myself away from her gaze and hand her the hoodie. "I thought you might like this." I whisper. A wide smile grows on her face and she makes grabby hands towards me. I let out a chuckle and pull her into my arms.

After pulling away from the hug she tells me to close my eyes so she can put the hoodie on. I put my hands over my eyes so she knows I'm not peeking and wait for her permission to open my eyes. "You can open your eyes now Robbie." I feel my heart flutter at the nickname. I open my eyes and see her in the hoodie. It reaches her mid-thigh and covers her hands. I stand up off of the bed and pull her into my arms. I lift her up, securing my hands underneath her thighs and spin her in a circle. Her angelic laugh fills my ears and her lips connect with mine. I kiss her back instantaneously. I can taste her lip balm on my lips as we pull away placing our foreheads together.

Reluctantly placing her down on the floor I grab my phone and push her over to the full length mirror on the back of her door. I hand her my phone after opening the camera. I pull the hood over her head and wrap my arm around her waist pulling her into me. She positions the camera so it frames the photo properly. We both smile widely and she takes the photo. She then sends the photo to herself.

Effy's POV

I grab my phone out of the pocket of Robbie's hoodie before setting it as my phone background. I turn so I am facing him and wrap my hands around his neck, gently threading my fingers through the hair on the back of his neck. He leans down and pecks my lips before wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me into him and burying his face in my neck. I feel his face nuzzle into my shoulder and let out a little giggle.

"Kids, I ordered Mcdonalds and it's Here!" Terri shouted from the kitchen. Robert let out a small groan and untangled our bodies before interlocking his fingers with mine and pulling me downstairs into the kitchen. I see a load of Mcdonalds on the table and my mouth begins to water. "I asked your mother for your order and got that for you." Terri informs me with a bright smile. "Thank you so much Terri." I exclaim. "It's no problem darling, I hope you enjoy it." I go to pull out my chair but am beaten by Robert. I sit in the seat and pull my food towards me. Robbie sits in the seat next to me and gives me a gentle smile. I blush lightly at his adoring gaze on me. Terri clears her throat and my attention quickly diverts from the blue-eyed Aussie boy next to me. "So I just thought I should let you both know that I know you are soulmates and I am completely fine with it, I think you two are perfect for eachother and I know that your parents are also fine with it Effy." She says happily. I let out a sigh of relief knowing that we don't have to awkwardly tell her later on. Both me and Robert have giant smiles on our faces and we look at each other both equally relieved. "I'm glad you are happy for us mum, because I for one am ecstatic that she is my soulmate." I feel my cheeks burn crimson at this and I smile widely. "I also couldn't be happier he is my soulmate. I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him." Now it is Roberts turn to blush. He gently grabs the hand I have resting on the dining table and lifts it up to his mouth, placing a gentle kiss on it he places it back on the table before interlinking his fingers with mine.

We all begin eating and I slowly eat my chips taking in the surroundings.

Robert and I are now in his room. Cuddling on his bed, my head on his chest and his arms around my waist. A film on the TV that neither of us are focusing on, I am focusing on the sound of his heartbeat and the steady rise and fall of his chest as he breathes. One of his hands moves from around my waist and grabs my jaw moving my head to be looking at him. He gently presses his lips to mine and I quickly reciprocate the kiss but adding more passion into it. I feel myself getting lost in the way his slightly cracked lips move against my soft ones. He slowly flips us so he is on top of me before pulling away and placing his head on my chest. I regain my breath and softly run my fingers through his hair. I feel his body relax against mine as I gently massage his scalp. I hear his breathing become deeper and realise he has fallen asleep. I start humming gently as I feel myself become sleepy. My hand stills on his head as I gently fall into sleep.

I hear the birds chirping as I open my eyes and take in my surroundings. I fell asleep in Robert's room last night. A lazy smile stretches along my face as I realise how happy I am that he is my soulmate.
