The picture

"Piper quickly wiped away a few tears before folding the letter again and about to put it in the envelope when she noticed a picture."

The picture as well as the letter was a bit older and looked accordingly, the corners were bent and the picture itself was probably folded up several times. In the picture, she could see a woman and a little boy. But her gaze wandered only a fraction to the woman, she only took the young one who had to be 100% Chris. He was wearing blue jeans and a sweater and was standing at the stove. On his head he had a large white chef's cap and in his right to a wooden spoon. She looked the little boy in the face on which a broad grin had laid down. He seemed very happy at that moment. And Piper continued to examine him. From the chef's cap a few of his brown hair came out and she estimated his age at 9 or 10 as he just reached the stove. Only after she had looked closely at the boy had much of her the woman on and in terror she dropped the picture. Shocked, she saw the picture after it slowly falling to the ground and finally lying there. Wyatt, who was still seeing next to her and had been playing the entire time, noticed the picture lying on the floor and officials noticed it in his hands. Piper still didn't move.

"Mommy," said the little blonde boy and pointed a finger at the woman. Then Piper reacted again. And took the picture out of her son's hand, now she looked at the woman. And this was without a doubt herself, a few years older and a slightly different clothing still. She herself also beamed towards the camera and had put an arm around the boy, around Chris.

That was too much for them. Was he a friend of Wyatt's? A neighbor boy? Your nephew? But the last thought seemed the most logical, he would be a friend of Wyatt, a neighbor boy would not stand so close to each other and smile. That he was her nephew she could quickly exclude he did not look like any of her sisters. That meant he was her son, a second child with Leo?

She grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, it should just be a short note.

"Chris, we need to talk. It is really important, please let us know when you are at home.

Piper.''

The woman put the note on the book, knowing that this was the first thing he would do. Look for demons and how to destroy them. Then she went down with Wyatt to cook something and put him to sleep.

Only a few hours later, the Guardian of Light entered the attic. As Piper had predicted, he first went to the book, where he found the note.

He flew over it and sighed loudly.

"How many more times should I tell the sisters that I can't tell them anything." But he decided to go to her anyway. Which, however, was no longer necessary.

Chris looked at the book again and then slammed it shut. Annoyed, he turned around and wanted to visit Piper. But there she was already leaning against the door frame, her arms crossed and her head tilted. Without saying anything or moving, she stood there, even when she saw that he had turned around. Chris didn't know what to make of it, she looked at him and didn't let go of her gaze. No reaction, after a while he could no longer withstand this rigid look and decided to say something.

', Piper is all right?'' Chris saw that something was wrong, she didn't look angry or upset, but her look unsettled him.

'Yes, yes, everything is okay.'' She seemed to be completely in her thoughts, and answered only casually.

'Surely everything is fine with Wyatt?'' The young man didn't know what was going on, so he suspected that something was wrong with Wyatt. But even with that, he was wrong.

'He's downstairs in his room, why are you asking?'' Piper could not take her eyes off the brown-haired man. She couldn't just put away what she had experienced and pretend that nothing had happened.

'Because you don't stop watching me.''

What. I am sorry. I have to talk to you.''

"Yes, I've already read that. And you know that I can't tell you anything about your future.''

Piper was not deterred and walked towards the couch to sit down. Chris looked after her and then decided to sit down, but he kept some distance between himself and the brown-haired woman. Again Piper looked at Chris and wondered inwardly how she could not recognize her own son. She also wondered if a mother shouldn't know that. She looked at him from the side. The brown hair was definitely from her and his green eyes were the same as Leo's. But then she began to doubt. And her facial expression changed, which did not go unnoticed by the Guardian of Light.

Was Leo his father at all? If not, who was it?

Piper? What is? Okay you have to tell me what's going on now.''

', Tell me something about you.''
', What why?''
'Because you've been living in our house for months and we don't know anything about you.''

', That's not from belage.''
'How were your parents.''

'I can't tell you anything about that.''

'Chris it won't kill anyone if you tell me about your family.''

Chris didn't want to argue with the oldest of the Haliwells, he wanted the trust of the three. So he had to try not to betray himself.

'Okay, but then please leave me alone with the topic.'' Piper nodded and so he began to tell.

"I have two siblings, a brother and a little sister. My parents were very different. While my dad only took care of my siblings, forgot my birthdays and often ignored me completely. While my mom was wonderful. She was the best mother ever. She was always there, no matter what. And while my brother was at a football game with my father, I was cooking with her at home. She taught me a lot. She tried to explain that my father had no time, or he was very sorry but I knew that it was not so, and in the final defect it was not so bad that I was more with her. It wasn't always easy but it was there.''

Piper fell a stone from his heart, at least she was a good mother to him, but this did not justify that his father did not pay attention to him.
