You:

We wound up in a bakery.  As we stood in the doorway, heavily breathing, a worker greeted us and asked if we would like some water.

We gladly oblige.

"Anyway," Jongho began, "what I was trying to say earlier, was that I'm sorry."

The worker made their way back with two bottles of water and handed them to us.

"Why'd you get so worked up anyway?" I ask before the topic could flee.  I knew the question might bother him, but I wanted to know what caused him to freak out like that.

He looked down and began fiddling with his water bottle, crinkling it and picking at the wrapper.
It might look weird if we just stand in front of the doorway, so I asked, "Do you want to go sit down?"

Without a response, Jongho made his way to a booth to sit down the farthest he could from the counter.  I follow his stride in suit.

I take the water bottle out of his hands, so he can focus on our conversation.

He sighs, "It's complicated."

"What were you guys like lovers or something?" I jokingly ask.

He shoots me a look.

"No!  It's... listen you've got to trust me.  San is not a good guy, okay?"

What?

"Okay... but why?" I asked.  How is it that San tells me that I shouldn't trust Jongho, and now Jongho tells me that I can't trust San?

"I-I can't tell you." He says, not looking me in the eyes.

I scoff, roll my eyes, and cross my arms at this piece of annoying “information”.

Jongho’s brows suddenly furrow together and he slams his hands on the table, "Why are you even asking me this? Why do you care about what I do?"

The aggressive outburst caused me to shoot back in my seat before I stood from the booth, shaken, "You know what? Fuck you. I should've never tried to become your friend anyway." I get up and go to pay for our waters.
-
Jongho:

Wait, friend?  I finally get a potential friend after so long.... What do I do?

"Wait, Y/N!" I follow her out of the bakery.

I catch up to her outside, it had started raining sometime ago while we were still inside.

We start to walk back to the school, neither of us speaking.

"Jongho.... Just go away." I stopped in my tracks at her annoyed request.

I felt a vibration on my chest.

The stone.

Someone was following us.

I looked around, pretending to not be suspicious, and continued to follow her.
-
You:

I continued to hear Jongho's footsteps following behind me, even though I told him to leave me alone.

I suppose he needs to go this way, anyway.

But he kept getting closer, and closer.

I turned around, "Jongho can you please at least-"

He covered my mouth and continued to walk in the direction we were going.  I made muffled screams into his hand and attempted to get away.

"Y/N, stop!  He's following us!" He whispered in my ear. Maybe a little too loud as it causes me to flinch.

Nodding, I continue to walk with him.

I assumed he meant the school guard, since we never went back into the school.

We didn't run, though. Jongho just kind of dragged me along to wherever we were going.  I didn't want to look back.  I was scared that acknowledging the person following us would make them attack.

We walked a few more blocks, until we arrived at a house I had never seen before.  I squinted in an attempt to read the sign on the front porch.

Choi Residence

I didn't get much time to ask before Jongho walked me up the porch and took me into his house.

He placed me on a staircase, and I sat quietly as I watched him shut all the curtains and lock all the windows.

I suddenly had the fear that I was being kidnapped and all of this was some ploy arranged by Jongho.

"So.... Why are we here?" I asked, but he shushed me.  He stared out the front window, fixated on something on the lawn.

I wanted to get up and look too, but I knew he would blow up at me for it.

A few seconds later, he shut that curtain too.

He walked into a completely different part of the house, I scoffed and followed him, offended that he would just leave a guest to sit alone.

"Um, dude?  What are we doing here?" I asked again.

He didn't answer, just continued to walk.  We arrive at a large kitchen where someone seems to have already started cooking. Jongho grabs two pot holders and picks up a pot of boiling noodles by the handles.

"Would you like to stay for dinner?" He asks me, not even glancing up.
