My favorite pass time was stargazing, I'd lay on my back and watch the nights sky for hours on end. There was something so peaceful and memorizing about the tiny white dots that illuminated the infinite void of darkness. I found that watching the sky helped me get through all of the tough times in life. People always said that the sky was the limit and I know that the sky had no end so it gave me hope that things would get better one day.
Today was especially stressful, I won't say why but it tested me so I was in a rush to get to my favorite spot to watch the sky. The forecast said it was supposed to be a clear night so you would have thought that I'd be excited but something didn't feel right... There was a strange vibe in the air on this particular night and it wasn't long before my suspicions were confirmed. The stars started collapsing. They appeared to fall towards me one after the other and zoom past the horizon.
It wasn't long before they were all gone and all I was left with was a starless void. It was cold and empty It felt familiar as if I was looking into a mirror. The only emotion I could feel was dread but I was unable to avert my eyes so all I did was lay there and watch.
I layed there for hours hoping that something would change, the night's sky was all I had to cope with the stress since no one else cared about me. I struggled to find a reason to keep going until I found my love of the stars. I'm still laying here now in the darkness hoping and praying. I keep telling myself that the lights will come back on if I don't give up...
