Chapter 4

HAYES POV

So, today I'm thinking of asking Nat to be my girlfriend, I love her and I know she likes me. I have the perfect set up, no disruptions, it will be perfect.

She just tried to hide her face from me because she had mascara on the bottom of her eyes. I don't know if that's even what it was, maybe she just wakes up like that, who knows.

As I'm walking out of the bathroom into my room I realize it's Tuesday and we have school.

"Shit... NAT ITS TUESDAY WE HAVE SCHOOL! WE SLEPT IN."

"Hayes we don't have school today, that's the only reason I agreed to come over, stupid. It's TDD (teacher development day)"

"Oh crap I thought I made you miss school."

Nat is a straight A student, she never misses school, always does her work, always reading, she's so smart.

Nat is checking her phone so much now, and she looks upset, maybe I should ask. Maybe not. I mean just last night her ex texted her, maybe it's that.

NATS POV

I can't believe this, Andrea and Haley are on this stupid account with 2,476 followers, they are commenting so much mean stuff. It hurts, bad.

I look through the followers to see if they follow anyone that I'm friends with, they follow Hayes... They also commented things about Hayes. I guess he talks about how he likes me with them. The comment says "Hayes doesn't actually like you, he likes your sister and Andrea. He would never like a nasty little bitch like you."

My heart hurt. I felt years building up in my eyes, but Hayes walked out of the bathroom and I had to suck it up. I didn't want him to see it. Even though they follow him, he has millions of followers on Instagram, how would he see that account.

I got up and told my mom and sister I was going home to change, and shower and do my normal routine.

I got home and I got 7 new notifications from the account, I tried to ignore them but one of them said "watch your back bitch."

So I guess they want to fight me now, okay.

I got my outfit ready for after my shower, my grey "Don't talk to me" shirt, with navy blue shorts and green slippers, with monsters inc characters on them, makes me feel like a kid.

I get in the shower do my thang, get out and dry off. I get dressed and check my phone, 3 missed calls from Hayes, oops.

I called him back to make sure he's okay.

"Hello?"

"Nat I was wondering if you'd want to come to the park later."

"Sure, sorry you called when I was in the shower."

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know."

"Bye Hayes, See you at the park, wait, what time?"

"Um, 2 -ish?"

"Alright sounds good, bye Hayes."

"Bye Nat."

I looked at the time and it was 12:26, I had time until Hayes wanted me at the park.

I walk over to my desk and turn on Shawn Mendes radio on pandora, I love his music, I wish I could meet him.

I do my makeup and I realize I got mascara on my nose, whoops.

It was 1:30 already, how?!

I dry my hair the rest of the way and straighten it.

I got my phone and changed out of slippers into grey vans, my favorite.

I check my phone and I have notifications from the account, somehow they know I'm going to the park, they won't do anything, they are all talk. I put in headphones and put on Stitches- Shawn Mendes.

I get to the park, go over by the swings and I see Hayes, he's wearing khaki shorts and a blue Hollister shirt, cute.

We both climbed this tree, we used to climb it last summer but me and him got into a fight over Andrea and stopped talking for a while, brings back memories.

HAYES POV

This is my time, I'm going to ask her, I just need to bring it up in subject. She's talking about Andrea and she's getting upset, I'm not really paying attention because I'm thinking about asking her to be my girlfriend.

I look over and see Andrea and Haley, with Haley's boyfriend, oh well. I'm going to ask.

Nats looking at me, in my eyes, she's so beautiful, her hair is so long, it goes down to her butt, she has a strand of blue hair in the front, it's dark blue, can't see it that well.

I put my hand on hers and I'm going to ask.

"Nat?"

"Yes Hayes?"

NATS POV

Hayes if touching my hand, I think he's going to ask me out, I'm so happy.

"Nat?"

"Yes Hayes?"

*tug*

Andrea pulled my hair and I fell out of the tree, Hayes tried to pull me back but he fell too, our legs were on each other.

She started hitting my face and I kicked her away, I got my hair pulled by her, weak move, so I pulled hers back to be a bitch. I started hitting her in the face and I notice her nose was bleeding, but my leg was because the tree cut me.

Hayes pulled me off but Haley came and hit me, I went and tackled her, one hit after another, Hayes pulled me off and Haley's boyfriend pulled her.

Andrea and Haley left, and Hayes walked me home because my leg was cut pretty bad.
