Kiss Me Knot

Chapter 11

Wei Ying, Hua Cheng and Luo Binghe finally entered the lion's den. Behind them stood  Lan Zu's men watching their backs lest they try to do something tricky.

The three stood in a wide gap facing Lan Zu and Lan Xichen. Behind them stood Feng Hui and Wen Zhuliu.

Surrounding their backs are a mix of Lan Xichen's men and Lan Zu's men.

" Oh, if it isn't my old friends, the three little mice from Yiling! Haha how do you do? " Lan Zu said menacingly and his men laughed mockingly at the three.

With a fake smile Hua Cheng spoke like he was feeling bored saying, " Oh, if it isn't the old fart who run away with his stink smell along with him because he was so close to his death. How are we you ask? Our lives has been great and wonderful ever since you run away like the coward that you are. "


Hearing that, Wei Ying laughed out loud. Luo Binghe gave a sneering smile as well. There was also a small laugh coming from the men surrounding them.


" Hahaha. Well said Hua ge! Well said! " says Wei Ying.


Lan Zu's face turned red from embarrassment and exclaimed, " You! "

" Me? What about me, old fart? "


For fear of losing face further, Lan Zu decided to compose himself and cleared his throat. " Don't laugh too soon now! You don't know what's coming for you! "

" If we want to laugh, we will laugh! What are you doing lecturing us? Right guys? " Wei Ying replied and turned his head to look at his companions.


" Yea.."

" That's right Wei Xiong. "


Even Lan Xichen's men agreed with him which made Lan Zu turn his head to glare at them in contempt. The men were afraid of him thus they started to deny Wei Ying's claims.


Seeing the men fear Lan Zu, Wei Ying added, " Sigh. I understand now why my dear Lan Zhan seems like an ice block, a stick in the mud when I first met her. Turns out someone like you raised her! And I bet, that whenever she wants to laugh, you'll also tell her to not laugh or that if she wants to smile, she cannot. For you will also stop her as well. Tsk tsk. Such a pity, a pity. But I guess I benefitted from it too. "


" What benefit? "


" What benefit you ask? Isn't it obvious? " Putting an arm around Luo Binghe's shoulders, Wei Ying continued to say, "why don't you tell him Binghe my boy?"


Not expecting for Wei Ying to ask this of him spontaneously, Luo Binghe tried to remembered the times where Wei Ying would speak non stop about the Young miss. When he remembered that certain conversation, Binghe said quite awkwardly, " Er, the benefit is that only Wei Xiong got to see her beautiful smile and hear her laugh that sounds magical, as if it was a wind chime. "


With those words being spoken, Lan Zu face looked flabbergasted.

" Hahaha! That's right! Good Binghe! Very good! It was truly magical, most especially when she let's me hear it during our alone times. Ya know hahaha"

Hearing the words, some of the men's face around him turned red. Lan Xichen even chuckled inspite of standing beside Lan Zu. Fortunately, Lan Zu didn't hear him because he became furious after hearing Wei Ying say such things.

" Enough! You dare speak of her intimately in front of me, have you no shame?! "


" Hahaha Hua ge, kindly tell him what my middle name is. The old fart seems unaware of it "


" Oh ? He doesn't? Very well I'll tell him. Old fart, this guy's middle name here is Shameless. "


" You! "

" Aiyo! You're so weak old fart! How come you always counter us with a "You! " whenever we talk back? And to think you started this verbal fight! Incredibly weak! Tsk tsk.  But since you're still the father of my dear Lan Zhan, we'll have pity on you! How about we get on to business now hmm? "



Having listened to the nonsense talk, a man looking regal with undeniable superiority emerged from behind. He came from a group of men at the back and walked infront standing beside Lan Zu.  It was Wen Rouhan.

Wen Rouhan is here?! Wei Ying thought.


With a voice of authority, Wen Rouhan spoke. " Might as well. I'm actually getting tired of hearing all this nonsense.  "


After speaking such, there was a short pause, a moment of silence before Hua Cheng broke it and spoke.


" Wen Rouhan. so you're here. "


Raising a brow, Wen Rouhan replied, " Do you have a problem with it? "


With another fake smile, Hua Cheng replied. " Nothing nothing. I was just suddenly reminded of how Lan Zu is like a leech. Clinging to you always to save him. So pathetic. Just like in the past.

Now that I think about it, it was as if you're his saviour. Very legendary. "


" Don't speak like I'm not present! " Lan Zu shouted enraged and was trying to rush onwards towards Hua Cheng but Lan Xichen held him back telling him to calm down. Lan Zu relented but the anger written on his face remained.


Ignoring Lan Zu, Wen Rouhan replied, " Why thank you. But now that you've said this, I also am reminded of something. Mind if I ask?"
