"Good work everyone," Hobi clapped his hands and wore a satisfied grin as he looked around at his tired group members. Yoongi, Jin and Namjoon were sprawled across the floor in exhaustion. Taehyung was sitting on the floor chugging a bottle of water, and Jungkook was somehow still up and practicing. "I think we're okay to stop here. It's been a couple of hours," he glanced at the clock. Though he always pushed the members when it came to dance practice, he knew when they were too tired to give it their all.
"Wait," Jin stood up. "Can we go just one more time?"
"No," Yoongi and Namjoon yelled out in unison, eliciting a laugh from the three youngest members.
"Everyone that wants to stay can stay, but I think Yoongi and I are going to head back to the dorm," Namjoon stood up, and Jimin couldn't help but chuckle at his wobbling legs. "Anyone else?"
Jimin glanced at the clock before volunteering himself. "I'll head out with you guys. I want to see if I can stop by the library before it closes."
"Again? You've been there twice already this week," Taehyung tilted his head in confusion. "How are you finding time to finish the books you're checking out?" Jimin smiled in response, though it was forced and he was very sure that it looked unnatural.
It had been weeks since he'd seen the girl at the library. A busy schedule plus odd hours meant that he didn't have very much time to go anywhere. He really had been reading so he had an excuse to see her, but it seemed like their times didn't align well. It had been so long and he was beginning to lose hope, but he thought he may as well continue the newly attained hobby.
"Let's just say I'm motivated," he replied.
"Do you want some company?" Jungkook asked, pausing his own practice. He was panting, and the ponytail that sat at the top of his head was beginning to loosen.
He quickly shook his head as he approached Jungkook and adjusted his ponytail for him. At least for now, the quiet library was something that he cherished as his own, and was not something that he wanted to share with the rest of the group quite yet. "Maybe some other time, Jungkook. You look like you're still enjoying practice."
"That's true," Jungkook nodded. "Alright, let's go!" He said, his smile contagious despite having already practiced for several hours. Jimin laughed and shook his head. He always considered himself to be energetic, and he succeeded in emanating that kind of aura on stage, but Jungkook was that way all the time. That was one of the many things that he admired about their maknae.
"That's fine, keep practicing," RM encouraged. "But don't be here too late. Remember that we have a fansign event in the morning, I don't want anyone falling asleep in front of ARMY," he warned, to which the members agreed. With that, the three members that were leaving made their departure.
After a shower, Jimin got dressed, put on a hat and a mask, and walked to the library. It was a colder evening, and he found himself sighing in relief when he entered the warm, welcoming building. After a few minutes to find a book, he went back to the table where he had met the girl weeks before.
He was glad that he was wearing a mask, as he couldn't hide his frown when he saw that there was a group of three people at the table. He turned on his heel and looked for a table when he ran into another person.
"Sorry," the smaller figure bowed in apology when she looked up. Jimin felt excitement surge through him when he recognized her dark eyes. He blinked several times to make sure he wasn't imagining it, but when she flashed him the smile that he'd been wishing to see, he was sure that he wasn't dreaming. "Oh, it's you," she greeted. "Long time no see."
