"You're back late," Taehyung greeted, taking off his headphones as Jimin walked through the door to their room. Taehyung nodded and quickly turned back to his computer. Jimin quickly dropped the pink gift bag and kicked it under his bed. Luckily, Taehyung was too immersed in his game to notice. "Did you find a good book?"

"Yeah," Jimin nodded before setting the bag behind his laundry basket. "Sorry," he said,  chuckling when he saw their youngest member asleep at the foot of his bed. He was sleeping on his stomach, and he rested his cheek on his arm. "What's he doing in here?"

"He just wanted some company," Taehyung shrugged before shutting off his computer. He winced when Jungkook let out a snore. "Is he even breathing?"

"You don't get to say anything about how he sleeps. You sleep with your eyes open," Jimin pointed out before taking a seat on his bed next to Jungkook. "Why's his hair up?" He flicked the ponytail on the top of Jungkook's head.

"For the scrunchie," Taehyung answered. "That's the gift from today that he wanted to keep with him. The girl said that it was her lucky one, so she wanted to give it to him to use whenever he needs encouragement."

Dahyun's scrunchie. He didn't think that he'd be jealous of Jungkook having a pink and white polka-dotted hair accessory. "Does he need encouragement?"

"Don't we all?" Taehyung turned off his computer before whirling around and giving Jimin a stern stare. "Is everything okay with you?"

Jimin was taken aback. "Everything's great. Why wouldn't it be?"

Taehyung shrugged, seeming unconvinced by Jimin's answer. "You just haven't been around as much. That one in particular seems to miss you," he said, pointing to Jungkook. "And you were weird this morning at the fan meet. Don't think that I didn't miss that."

Jimin sighed and pushed back his hair. "Sorry. I don't know, Taehyung. It just feels good to be able to get out once in a while," he fumbled over his words as he lied to his best friend. He was never very good at lying in general, let alone lying to the person in the world who knew him most. "I'm okay. I promise."

Dark eyes scanned him, but Jimin stayed firm until Taehyung eventually nodded. "Okay," he settled.

"Now," Jimin sat down on his bed before laying back and resting perpendicularly against Jungkook, who groaned at the interruption of his peaceful slumber.

"Why?" Jungkook grumbled. He reached up and touched the scrunchie atop his head before finally opening his eyes and frowning at Jimin. "Why?" He repeated.

"Why are you grumpy? You're the one on my bed," Jimin pointed out, much to the chagrin of the younger member.

Jungkook squeezed his eyes shut before resting his head back. "Just let me rest for now, please..." Despite the frown on his face, he seemed to quickly fall back asleep quickly.

Jimin poked the scrunchie atop his head before nodding. "For now."

Jimin was delighted to find that he was able to see her more often than he thought. Since Dahyun was usually at the library late at night, he went to meet with her after his schedules were over. For the next month and a half, he experienced the most freedom he's had in a long time.

The library was a given because Dahyun was a student. She (often very bashfully) asked if they could stay in the library, but Jimin didn't mind. Even if they weren't able to talk, he was content with quietly reading his book next to her. And yes, this time he was properly reading without his eyes drifting to Dahyun every few minutes.
