Mason's pov:
I couldn't stop thinking about what she said last night, how she poured her heart out for me, and I just stood there like an idiot, mouth wide open, no words, but air being inhaled and exhaled. And even then I couldn't breathe, I felt like she has knocked all the air out of my lungs as she said the 'I like you more than a friend' sentence. I might have sounded like a jerk, saying nothing as she confessed her love for me, but she truly left me surprised.
Rylee Smith, was my best friends' sister, Jackson and Logan Smith. Truth to be told, I never saw Rylee like that, it's not like I consider her as my sister, but unlike Drago, I didn't wanna step any boundaries as she was the sister of my best friends. Did Jackson and Logan even know about this? Did they know that their sister had feelings for me? I mean, if they knew, I know for sure that Jackson would give a hard time for it, not so sure about Logan. Maybe he could be cool about this?
Wait? What am I even saying here? Do I like Rylee? Could I see myself as someone that could love Rylee? I never have been so confused before in my life, I always knew that I wouldn't get involved with someone, even if they were in the same business as me because I didn't wanna end up like my parents, I didn't wanna grieve someone I could lose someday. And now, I don't know how I feel about Rylee, it's like all my previous friendly feelings for that girl vanished as soon those words left her pretty lips.
Even if I take the risk with Rylee, I was gonna leave anyway, I have a Mafia to run, to business to take care of. Could she and I have a long-distance relationship together or would she move with me to Paris? Would she do that? For me? I know if I take the risk, I'd be asking a lot of her, she'd have to leave everything and everyone behind and live in an unknown country.
