NOW, THERE'S A COUPLE VERSIONS OF WHAT HAPPENED that night. It all depends on who you ask, and to be honest, I'm not always the most reliable narrator.

But Nate was fucking on one.

And in turn, Maddy was fucking on one.

Which meant that Brooke was fucking on one.

And jealousy was kinda their no. 1 manipulation tactic. Not in the Brooke and Nate direction cause, like, obvious reasons. Fuck, the Jacobs are weird but they're not, like, Game of Thrones weird.

Anyway, Brooke had kind of a habit of inserting herself in the Maddy and Nate drama since she and Maddy started and abruptly stopped hooking up. Which Nate just saw as a tactic to piss him off even further by dancing with his sister. Of course, he had no idea he was just a part of the stupid jealousy game they were playing and not the other way around.

But, once the anger Nate felt at the idea of Maddy dancing with Brooke began to wear off and his attention began to wander, Maddy dropped Brooke like a sack of bricks...

Angered, Maddy stormed towards the closes semi-hot guy she could find, feeling Brooke's furious gaze like daggers in the back of her head. But she just didn't give a fuck. She just sat herself right in the lap of some dumbass, sex-deprived douchebag knowing that was the best shot she had at pissing off both Jacobs siblings.

⠀ SO, I FEEL LIKE IT'S IMPORTANT TO MENTION that, technically, there was another person involved in the Brooke - Maddy - Nate love triangle. When he wasn't high as a kite, of course, Xander enjoyed inserting himself between it all just cause he was bored and enjoyed pissing off Brooke.

Also, cause, and I feel like this was his main reason, he enjoyed fucking Brooke. And in order to do that, Maddy had to be out of the picture. At least for the night. Cause if Brooke's plan worked too well she'd end up in Maddy's bed and Xander would end up with... well, not Brooke.

Alright, it's not as creepy as it sounds 'cause, sure, Xander could be some guy using the fact that Brooke was trying to make someone she'd rather be with jealous as a way to manipulate her into sex. But Xander and Brooke were kinda best friends. Plus, there's no fucking way Brooke Jacobs was going to be manipulated into doing anything she didn't wanna fucking do.
