New friends.

"Who's this guy now???" Ji-hyeok screams coming up to me. 

"Ni-ki please go now..." I say while trying to push Ni-ki away but he is standing strongly in front of me. 

"He's my brother please leave now..." I say catching Ni-ki from his ice cold glare to a shocked face. 

"Ni-ki your name is??? What are you doing with my sister???"

"I'm sorry hyung, I'm a... guy at her school. It was dark so I brought her home!" He says while running away quickly.

"Jihyeok he's not gonna kill me! Why are you so worried! Stop being so overprotective!!" 

"It's my job to take care of you! You and mom!! I don't want you to be abused like I was!!" He finally admits. 

" Jihyeok... I'm sorry." I finally say not being able to hug him cause we are not that close. 

"Okay, but like you've changed little one! You have brought 2 guys to our house in a few days!" He says while laughing. 

"Shut upppp He is annoying and Jake is my friend!!" I say while pouting.

I come to school early to get my mind off things. I see Seyoung and her ugly brat minions walk around the halls. What are the a 1+1 package deal? Why the fuck are they always together lmao. 

I try to avoid them in the halls and walk with my book across my face. They start laughing and talking and stare at me. Oh shit. 

"Heyyy bitch! We have some unfinished business from last time don't we!" Seoyoung says while laughing weirdly. I think she's finally gone crazy. 

"Uh I don't think we do! Maybe remove the lipstick stain on your teeth before you talk to me!" I say while trying to walk away from her ugly face. I hear someone laughing from afar and see a brown haired girl with gleaming eyes looking at me. 

"Hyejin. That's your name right?" She says. She looks extremely pretty and cool. 

"yup. Wanna be friends?" I ask and walk up to her. 

"Sure bestiee" she says and we walk away with our arms linked.

"Plsss did you see Seoyoung's faceee!!" She says.

"Yeaa she looked like a mutated rat!" I say while laughing.

"So what's your name? I forgot to ask." I say looking at her. 

"Kim Jukyung!" She says with a big smile.

"Okay Jukyung what class are you in? You seem familiar?"

"We are in the same class dumbo." She says while laughing. I spark up in happiness of making a new friend. A really badass one at that.

Class starts and me and Jukyung come up with a plan to ask Ms. Jang to switch our seats so we can sit together. 

"Uhm Ms. Jang before you start!" Can I switch my seat?" I say with confidence. Ni-ki acts like he's sleeping but I can tell he's listening. 

"Uhm sure but next to who?" She says looking around the room. 

"Ms. Jang! meeee! I want to sit next to Hyejin!!" Jukyung says while smiling. 

She finally switches our seats and Jukyung's old seat partner sits next to Ni-ki.

"I'm gonna fall asleep what page are we even on?" I say while staring at my closed book. 

"Wake upp we are on page like 45 I think?" She says while also being confused. I smirk and look at my book.

Lunchtimeee let's gooo!

"Hyejinnn why did you move away from meee! Sunghoon was being so annoying." Jake says while coming up to me. 

"Sorryy I made a new friend her name is Jukyung. Oh yea also can she eat with us?" I say whiling patting Jake's shoulder. 

"Sure!" He says while I smile.

"Jukyungggg comeeee we are gonna sit with Jake and Sunghoon is that okay?" I say while Jukyung nods. 

I walk with her to lunch and introduce her to the boys. Sunghoon is acting odd with her around making me suspicious. He's acting like he is not the loudest introvert I know. 

"Jukyung your really pretty." Sunghoon says while blushing. 

"I swear Sunghoon if you try and court her I will crack your head open like a nut." I say while he try's to act cool.

School ends and I hunt Jukyung down so I can get her phone number. I see a text on my phone to see it be my brother. 

My bro~

My bro: Hey tell mom I am gonna sleepover at my friends after we study for the exam.

                                                                                          Me: fine but she's making your fav soup HAHA LOL

My bro: stfu

I laugh and I walk to the couch to watch tv and chill. I turn on the tv and put a movie on. 

"Honeyyy We are going to have guest later! They are partnering with my company for this new clothes line!" She says while rushing out with tons of papers in her arms. 

I doze off halfway through the movie and walk up to my phone ringing a million times. 

Mom? Why is she calling me?

"Hello?"

"HYEJIN QUICKLY GO OUT AND BUY GREEN ONIONS, GARLIC, PASTA, HEAVY CREAM, AND TOFU WITH YOUR BROTHER"

"But he's not ho-" She ends the call. Rude. I look out to it being fully dark and I shrug and go and change. 

I put on a black crop top and a jean jacket with my grey sweats. I take my phone and wallet and head out to the closest market. 

I walk in the darkness and see one of the streetlights about to go out. Shoot I have to get home fast. 

I grab all the things I need and quickly go to the cash register. With my shaking hands I take out my card. I think about all the possibilities. What if I get kidnapped? Nah I'm too ugly for that. 

I walk out and see the light go out completely. Shit I gotta go! I walk out of the market and grip onto my bags tightly. I see a man walking around the street lazily and I ignore it. I see fast cars go by the street he was walking by. I worriedly walk a little closer and see him almost get hit by a car. 

I drop my grocery bags and go towards him who is clearly drunk. "Sir, you shouldn't be walking so close to cars like that!" I say while pulling him back. He swings at me with his empty soju bottle and walk closer to me. 

I walk backwards and look at the man. He looks just like my father when he got mad. Oh no.

I feel a arm take me backwards and into their chest. They hold my arm tightly and push the drunk man away.
