Suddenly I woke up from what I thougt was screaming.These dreams won't let me sleep.. After the fight, everything changed. I think I'm going insane.
Why?
Because she betrayed me...
Throwback
- Arii! Dinner is ready!! - Vade shouted.
Araine didn't care about her sister's words. She was focusing on her favourite puppet. Since they live far from normal civilization this puppet was her only friend.
The Underwoods was the worst place for children like Araine and Vade, they're only 8 and 13. Araine is the youngest.
They live together with the most famous professor of the Underwoods. His name is Dr. Oscar Green. The girls just called him Dr. Green or Green.
-ARIIIIIII!- Vade whined.
*Ughhh she's so annoying... I don't want to leave my room* Araine thought to herself.
- You should go down. - the puppet suggested.
Araine threw the toy across the room. "what did just happen..? Am I imagining this?" The little girl freaked out. The toy she had for several years.. Can talk now??
She moved to the corner, searching for her blade. That weapon was only a few twigs stuck together, yet it made Araine feel protected. She aimed it toward the puppet. Araine still was unable to understand what was going on. Her hand was trembling, and her heart was racing.- What are you? Are you going to hurt me? Please spare me," she said, worried.
She pulled her knees to her chest, and had a swing with the branches.
The puppet struggled to stand up from the other side of the room. It didn't want to talk again nor go near the frightened girl.
The sun shined through the window, Araine's orange hair shimmered in the sunlight. She had mercy in her eyes.
Therefore the toy decided to speak.
- Listen, I'm not going to do anything bad to you.. unless you don't kill me with that thing in your hand.
Araine looked disappointed because she worked hard for the sword but it was still unrecognizable, but moved on. She lowered her hand.
- What are you?- Araine asked nervously
The toy straightened itself and took a deep breath.
- I am your spirit friend. Don't freak out. I am NOT here to hurt you. I'll be your guardian angel.. sort of..I guess thats what you call it. - the toy shrugged - The name's Rune by the way. Nice to meet you Araine.
Rune decided to approach Araine. He raised his hand towards Araine to shake hands.
-I refuse.. You're weird..- and she stood up and left the room with the puppet on the ground.
Araine ran downstairs to her sister.
-Ugh FINALLY.- Vade sighed.
