-So, what did you cook? Araine said as she sat down at the table. She only wanted to irritate her sister even more, and because she could smell the scent in the air, she already knew what was for dinner.-Frog...with mushrooms; if you don't like it, deal with it. Vade pushed the plate on the table, presenting the deep-fried frog legs to her sister. She slung the towel over her shoulder and headed back to the kitchen.Araine followed her sister with her gaze. She stared at Vade for a while before her sister noticed. Her eyes were like a sharp blade, cutting through the little lanes of dust glistening in the sunbeams.-Do you still want anything? There's food in front of you; hurry or the bugs will finish it.- Vade laughed.-Salt.- Araine extended her hand. Her sister placed the salt container in her small hand and headed upstairs.

Araine poked the frog's leg with the fork. Her sister must be joking; there's no way she'll eat this stuff, she thought. But suddenly she heard a loud scream, which brought her back from her daze. The young girl raced up to her room. When she arrived, she noticed her sister and Rune standing facing each other. Vade held the kitchen towel in her right hand, preparing to smack the puppet.-Vade, stop! He isn't dangerous.-Araine attempted to stop her sister.

- Yeaaah Vaadee~ I'm not dangerousssah~
Rune mimicked the little girl because she literally did the same as her sister but with a sword.
Vade's eyes opened wide.- YOU CAN TALK??!-

Rune broke out laughing at Vade's reply. He sounded like a little mouse with asthma, perhaps. He thought of something. Should he introduce himself professionally? or....'YES,' he stated to himself.

- Yes, I can talk to you...child. My name is Lord Rune Egenovits of Firewood- and the puppet bowed as if he were royalty. Araine seemed confused. She was standing in the doorway when Rune performed this scenario. Rune created himself a royal cape out of the dust on the floor to enchance his introdction. It was quite remarkable for both of the girls.

Araine got the sign so she went on with it.- Oh my dear Lord. May I serve you a cup of tea?- And she did a curtsy. The two looked at eachother and burst out laughing. Vade still didn't catch anything.
- So uhm.. What are you exactly? No more jokes.- Vade said confidentially. -He's my guardian angel!- the little girl shouted excitedly with sparkling eyes. The sister couldn't give a fuck anymore so she left these two in the room. After Vade got downstairs she saw the uneaten frog. More for her, she thought.

6 years later

-Professor Green just returned from his small bunker. He has a lot of things going on down there. Most likely, there are several deceased creatures.Araine muttered to Rune, putting her tongue out to express her disgust for the bunker. She has never been there, unlike her sister. Vade constantly goes down to assist Green.- I'm not sure what they're doing in the bunker, but I'm sure it's potentially dangerous. - Araine stated.

Rune was sitting in front of her. They were sitting in Ari's room on the floor. There was a rug under them, an orange one. Vade got it from the local shop near the city for her sister's 12th birthday. It was last year though. The rug already smelled a little bit like a swamp but it didn't bother anyone in the household. Suddenly, Rune stood up and poked Ari's knee. -I'm hungry...- then his stomach churned. It was new for Araine because he revealed himself 3 days ago and he didn't eat anything since then. He didn't even mention anything about food.
-I'll get ya somethin'-. And Ari left the room.

Rune emerged from his puppet figure as the door shut. He transformed into a really stunning gentleman. He had medium-length black hair and mischievous red eyes. Given the toy's design, he was wearing leather clothing. Raising himself, he gazed out the window. A gentle wind blew over his hair while it was open. He sat back down on the mat, after hearing Araine"s steps aproaching and transformed back into his puppet after sensing the air. If someone saw him, he would be in serious danger.
