Chapter 8 - Pein attack + talk with Kakashi

Y/n pov

"Damn what happened here? I haven't been gone for that long" I said, looking around the crater.

"Pein appeared shortly after you left" Naruto told me.

"I see, how many are left?" I asked him.

"Three" He said.

"Alright, I'll take care of the other two and help you after that" I said and started fighting.

"You've got no chance!" Sakura yelled towards me.

"Oh fuck off, I lived with him for three years! I know his fighting style" I yelled and killed one body.

I then went towards the second one. He sure was tougher than the other one. I got out my Kusanagi and loaded it up with lighting chakra. I then ran at him again and effectively burned the whole body.

I looked around for Naruto to see that he was gone. I decided not to worry about him for now and went to the healing ninjas to help them.

"Can I help?" I asked as I approached them.

"Y/n, perfect timing! Many villagers and ninjas got hurt, we can use every help we can get" One said.

I started healing people when I realized that I hadn't seen my mum anywhere. I started to get worried and went over to Shizune.

"Shizune, where's mum?" I asked her.

"I'm sorry dear but she's laying hurt in that tent over there" She told me.

I thanked her and quickly went over to check her condition. Turns out it was worse than I thought. I immediately transferred chakra into her system and the rhombus on her forehead. When she was at least kinda stable, I teleported to Naruto.

I arrived just in time to see Nagato still alive and talking with Naruto and Konan. Of course they all noticed me when I walked over.

"Y/n!" Naruto exclaimed.

"You sure worried me when you suddenly disappeared" I chuckled and rubbed his head.

"So this is the kid that you always talked about" Nagato said "He's a smart boy, I know why you like him"

"I know, though sometimes I'm not sure if he really is that smart" I laughed.

I enjoyed the last few minutes with Nagato before he used the Jutsu that sadly cost him his live. We then said goodbye to Konan, before she disappeared in the wind.

"She'll die" I said, looking at where she had just stood.

"Let's go back"

I carried Naruto back to the Konoha crater where Kakashi stood and took him from me. Naruto smiled when he saw that everyone celebrated him. It was nice to see the villagers finally accepting Naruto.

Later that night, I sat on a tree a bit outside of the village. I was looking in the sky, just thinking about everything that I had learned with the Akatsuki. I also remembered all the times that I would swim against Kisame and be sad when I'd loose.

Then I remembered when Obito would always make sure nothing happened to me and act like he was my sibling. I let a tear out, I knew that he would kill Konan when she leaves the Akatsuki.

"Are you alright?"

"I should be asking you that, after all you're the one that nearly died" I said and turned to Kakashi.

"What do you have on your mind?" He asked me.

"I was thinking about my time with the Akatsuki" I told him honestly.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.

"They were pretty kind to me, even though they had kidnapped me. I also had many freedoms. Of course they would often treat me like a real prisoner but especially Itachi Uchiha and Tobi were very kind to me" I told him.

"It seems like you miss them, even though what happened" Kakashi said.

"I know but more I am gonna miss the people of the village where you guys found me" I said.

"I mean, you can always visit them. We would only have to tag along" Kakashi tried to lighten the mood.

"Yeah, sorry for talking about the Akatsuki like that" I chuckled.

"Don't worry, you're still my student after all" Kakashi said.

"Right, thanks Sensei" I smiled.

"Now go to your family, you could use some sleep" Kakashi said.

"Your right, good night Kakashi-Sensei!"
