Y/n pov
"Where's Gaara? How is he?" I asked Naruto on the way back to Konoha.
"He's alive, don't worry. I'm sure you'll see him soon" He chuckled.
"How about Ichiraku later? I'll pay" I offered.
"RAMEN!"
"Take a shower and change first tho" I laughed.

While changing I noticed a bird sitting on my windowsill. I opened the window and noticed a small note on the birds leg. I opened it and read.
Dear Y/n,
I've survived the war. I'm visiting Konoha in a week and I would like to finally take you out on our date then. Meet me at 1 pm at Ichiraku's.
Love, Gaara
I smiled and put the letter on my desk. I then went to Ichiraku with Naruto and he told me what I had missed during the war and also about his trip with Jiraya while I was gone. It got quickly dark so we went back home and watched a movie before going to bed. I was looking forward to next week.

"Y/n get upppp, Gaara is going to be here in three hours!" Naruto exclaimed while dragging me out of bed.
"But I'm so tireddd" I exclaimed.
I sighed and pushed Naruto out of the room while getting fresh cloths and going into the bathroom. After I had taken a shower, I quickly dried my hair and put it into two french tails. Next I put on some basic makeup and left to get something to drink.
"Morning dad!" I greeted when I entered the kitchen.
"Good morning sweetheart, you ready for your date?" Dad asked me.
"Well yeah but I'm incredibly nervous" I chuckled.
"That's understandable" He laughed and gave me a cup of coffee.
When I was done with my coffee, I made my way to Ichiraku. I was about half way there when I noticed somebody was following me. I turned around to see a small tiger and begann laughing.
"Tora! There is a reason why I didn't bring you with me for my date" I laughed while picking her up.
"I have to make sure he doesn't try to do anything dumb!" Tora argued.
"Oh my sweet little Tora, there is absolutely nothing that you have to worry about" I chuckled "How about you go to Kiba and play with Akamaru while I'm gone"
Tora gave a short nod and disappeared. A few minutes later, I had arrived at Ichiraku's and I noticed Gaara already waiting. I hugged him hello and we sat inside.
"I hope you didn't have to wait long" I chuckled.
"Nah don't worry, I just arrived like two minutes before you" Gaara said with a smile.
We ate something and talked about many random things that crossed our minds. When we left, it was already 4 pm, we didn't mind tho.
"How would you like to go on a walk, there is this nice place that I want to show you" I offered with a small smile.
"I would love to" Gaara replied.
We walked out of the village and a bit more until I stopped at a beatiful clearing in the middle of the woods. There was a small pond, many beatiful flowers, animals and the sun illuminated the place perfectly.
"Wow, it's nice here" Gaara exclaimed.
"I know, you're the first person that I brought here" I told him with a smile.
"Well milady, how would you like a dance" Gaara offered all gentleman like.
"Oh I would absolutely love that idea" I chuckled and took his hand.
We danced for so long, it started to get dark. But we didn't care, it all seemed so perfect. At one point we stopped to look each other in the eyes and just kinda stare. The light of the moon shone perfectly above us.
I took Gaara's cheek into my hand and slowly started to close the gap. He put one hand on my lower back to pull me closer while closing the gap between out lips. That moment felt so perfect, it felt like there were sparks between us.
After a few moments, we pulled back and rested our foreheads against each others.
"I love you, Y/n. I've loved you since I first saw you in the Chunin exams" Gaara whispered.
"I love you too, Gaara" I smiled as our lips met once again.
