Drew is just a failed experiment of Zander. Yes they are both experiments of Zander's "dad", the "dad" thought that Drew looks nothing like him and Shannon so he just dumped him (he was created like he looks like around 6-7). Few years later he experimented again and there he is, Alexander Wickham (like Drew, he looks like around 6-7). While Drew who was around 10-11 at that point was jealous because he saw how good Zander's relationship is with their parents, or so he thought. (Btw Drew stalks them from far away)
As Zander grew and grew, his parents fight, everyday. He hated it.
Once Shannon and the "dad" broke up, Drew was shocked, ofcourse. He watched them from far away as Shannon found Michael, as they grew closer, at first Zander didn't really like Michael and didn't accept him as his Dad, but as the time flew, he and Michael grew closer and closer, Drew noticed this and had the "perfect" idea
He was going to kill Shannon and Michael, the one that Zander loved the most.
It's because of his jealousy. He was jealous of Zander, having a happy life, he hated it, he hates Zander so much.
Once Shannon and Michael went out for a commission (since they're in the Adventurer's Guild) Drew thought it was the perfect time to kill them. When he succeeded, he casted a magic upon them that couldn't heal any healing magic.
When both Shannon and Micheal were sent to the Cathedral for Barbara to heal them, Barbara didn't succeed. Zander heard about this and was furious. He was raging mad like he couldn't control himself anymore that he's at his limit at punching Barbara. Barbara explained why she couldn't save them but Zander didn't believe her.
Until his day, Zander still wants his revenge, for his mom, for his dad, for his family.
And yes he didn't know about Drew, since Drew was dumped away before Zander was created.
