━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐒 way to the observing room where Natasha stood. The redhaired woman had watched the entire interaction, and now her arms were crossed over her chest, her eyes narrowed in on the blonde haired woman almost as if she were trying to analyze her. Steve looked over at Natasha before his eyes moved over towards Liliya who was boredly sitting in the interrogation room. You could see the faintest smirk on her lips, but as both himself and Natasha analyzed her, that same amusement and confidence wasn't exactly what was playing out in her eyes.

After a few more seconds of silence, Natasha finally spoke up. "Let me talk to her." Her gaze didn't leave the direction of Liliya as she talked to Steve. "I know guys like these. She may have been trained well, but something inside her just isn't sitting right. I can tell. And let's face it, Steve. If you want her to become one of the good guys, you have to let one of the ex bad guys do the talking." She finally looked over at him.

Steve stuffed his hands in his pants pockets as he nodded. He knew that Natasha was right. And although he didn't want to send her in because he knew she was going to use something against the blonde, he knew that sending Natasha in was the only possible way that he was going to get any answers. "Fine. I have a feeling that you found more information that you're not going to share with me, so in order to figure that out I'm going to have to send you in." Natasha only smirked in response before making her way towards the door. "Hey," she stopped, "just don't go too hard."

Natasha looked at Steve. She admired his desire for doing anything in his power to turn the bad guys good, but Natasha knew that sometimes the evil organizations had their claws in too deep and there was no saving that person. She glanced towards the door, sighing as she turned her head back towards Steve. "It may come down to it that we can't change her mind, that we can't switch her over to the good side. Are you really going to be able to live with that?"

Steve turned away from the glass, meeting Natasha's eyes as he nodded his head. "I am. But I refuse to do that until I know that we've used every viable option that there is." He paused. "Natasha, you didn't see the look she had on the roof. She could've killed me. She almost did. But I saw it. There was something there, something that was holding her back from finishing it. I have to believe that there is still some good inside of her." He turned back towards the glass, staring at the blonde assassin. "We have to try."

Natasha nodded before pushing open the door and just before she walked out of it she looked back at him one more time and said, "You can't save everyone." She left before he could respond, making her way towards the interrogation room and pulling open the door. Natasha watched as Liliya looked up, a wide smile of amusement crawling onto the blonde's face as Natasha walked further into the room with the door shutting behind her. Liliya's gaze followed her as she slowly made her way over to the table, slapping a file down on it that had been much thicker than the one Steve had brought.

"Now this, this is interesting." Liliya smiled, watching as Natasha lowered herself into her seat. Liliya copied her straight posture, pulling back her shoulders and tilting her head up slightly. "What? Captain America give up so easily? What are you, reinforcements?" She laughed. "I can't believe I'm sitting across from the Black Widow. You know, people would kill to get this opportunity. In my case, I almost did kill. It's why I'm here isn't it? Because I tried to assassinate America's precious Golden Boy."

     "Yeah, tried."

"Don't worry, Romanoff. Next time I won't make the mistake again."

"There will be no next time, I can assure you." Natasha spoke, interlacing her fingers as she placed them on the table. Liliya watched her with raised eyebrows. "I'm not here to convince you to be the good guy, I'm here so that you can tell me who hired you and why did they send you after Steve Rogers?" Natasha watched her and nodded, knowing that she wasn't going to answer. Without hesitancy she moved down to the file, quickly flipping it open. She was surprised at how much information she had gathered from her source in the few minutes she had been given to figure something out.

"Do you remember this?" She pulled out a photo, sliding it across the table so that Liliya could like at it. Natasha watched her face carefully. "Do you know who the people in that photo are?"

Liliya swallowed thickly as she nodded her head, her jaw clenching. She snapped her head towards Natasha. "Where did you get this?"

"The same place I got this." She took out another photo and Liliya's breath hitched in her throat.

Liliya hesitated, reaching forwards as she grabbed the photo. She slowly picked it up, silently hoping that her eyes had been deceiving her. But they hadn't. It was her. A picture of her best friend, the one that had practically been her older sister, was in her hands. A picture of her dead body. The memories flashed through her head, the regret that she felt and all the guilt that she had carried quickly came back once again. She couldn't speak. She was too busy questioning how the hell Natasha could've possibly gotten these photos. A photo of her dead parents, followed by a photo of her dead best friend.

Natasha nodded her head. "I see that I've got your attention." Her voice was calm as she spoke. "So, do you want to talk to me now?"

"So, do you want to talk to me now?"
