Chapter 9: Don't Bet Against Greed

(First Person POV)

"Wake up little one." Jin says nudging me awake.

"5 more minutes Jinnie." I say pushing myself deeper into Suga's embrace.

"Both of you need to wake up and get ready, Namjoon's orders. Dinner will be ready in about 15 minutes. Both of you need to be fixed up by then." Jhope said to us.

"Bella wake up." Jin says pushing me harder.

"Please Jinnie." I beg looking up at him.

"If you are not up by the time I get back, I will personally whoop your ass." Jin says walking away.

"I will be! Suga on the other hand might not." I say snuggling back into his embrace.

(Third Person POV)

_on their way to the Netherworld Dorm_

"That was a mistake you know. And when Namjoon asks why they aren't up I am purely blaming it on you." Jhope says walking with his hands in his pockets.

"She will be up, she told me she would. Suga definitely won't be though." Jin replied back.

"Neither of them will be." Jhope says shaking his head like a father.

"I have faith in my little Bella. She will!" Jin says getting defensive.

"Care to make a bet then?" Jhope says with a smirk.

"No way! Betting against you never works out in my favor." Jin says dramatically.

"What happened to, and I quote 'I have faith in my little Bella!'?" Jhope mocked.

"Because I do! You know what you're on! What are the stakes?" Jin said crossing his arms.

"Buy me that new Burberry coat that just hit the market." Jhope says with a small smirk.

"That thing is so expensive! It's a new release too, it would be so hard to get my hands on it!" Jin yells.

"Well, that's what I want." Jhope says.

"Fine fine fine! Then you have to treat me to a fully paid meal at the 5-star restaurant I love so much!" Jin said back.

"Sounds like we have reached a deal." Jhope smiled and stuck his hand out.

"Deal!" Jin says and shakes it.

They two boys go back and forth for a few more minutes until they reach the Netherworld Dorms. As soon as they walk in, they see everyone gathered in the living room chatting together.

"Well, isn't this a beautiful sight! People who actually listen!" Jin says happily.

"You guys are already off on a great foot. I am so glad you all don't have anyone like our sins." Jhope said clapping.

"Well of course not, we are not devils." Yeosang said under his breath.

"What?" Jin said looking back at the boy thinking he heard something.

Before anyone else spoke Hongjoong firmly smacked Yeosang in the back of the head.

"Oh, nothing he is just a bit hangry because we haven't really eaten today." Hongjoong said smiling at Jin.

"That is the ultimate crime! We must hurry back to our dorm at once!" Jin yells with conviction.

"Does this guy really care that much about food?" Jaemin said to the other dreamies.

"He is the sin of gluttony, so it does make sense." Renjun said back.

"Still weird though." Haechan said with an interesting face to the group.

The group started the journey towards the House of Hades and were chatting amongst themselves as they walked.

"I made a mistake, didn't I?" Jin said with a large sigh.

"Is everything ok?" San replied to the boy.

"No, I think I am about to lose a bet..." Jin said trailing off.

"A bet? What did you bet?" Wooyoung says now interested in the conversation.

"Me and Jhope were arguing because Bella was taking a nap when we got home, and Namjoon told us to get her up and going before we had left to come back to get you all. Suga joined her when we all got home and when it was time to come back to pick you all up, they still looked so comfy. I tried to wake her up, but she looked so exhausted, and I just couldn't force her to get up. Jhope called me an idiot for not getting her up and I told him I had faith she would get up before we got back. Suga, I know will still be sleeping but I had faith in my little one. But now that we are getting closer, I feel stupid because I know Jhope is going to win, he always does." Jin says deflating.

"Well, what are the stakes?" Mingi chimed in.

"The new Burberry coat that just dropped..." Jin said looking in the distance.

"Sheesh man that thing got a price tag on it. What are you going to get if you win?" Wooyoung said back.

"A full expense paid dinner at my favorite 5-star restaurant." Jin said sadly.

"That sounds pretty fun too." San says smiling.

"Yeah, it would be, but I have already lost my faith in her." Jin says dramatically clutching his chest.

"Why? I mean I know she was late earlier, but do you think she will not be ready again?" San says back.

"I was caught up when making the bet. If it was anyone else, she would probably get up. But it's sloth, I mean the guy is literally a pillow. And not only that, but one of her favorite things to do is to sleep with him." Jin replied.

"To be fair that does kind of sound like a stupid bet." Mingi once again chimed in.

"Thank you, captain obvious! I know that!" Jin said while failing his arms dramatically.

As soon as they were walking in you could feel the tension between Jhope and Jin. The tension even spread to San, Wooyoung, and Mingi; they were curious as well on who would win the bet. They walked in the living room and what do you know?

"Ah fuck!" Jin screamed.

"I expect my payment soon." Jhope said happily skipping out the room.
