Chapter Five-The Haters

You laugh, you have amazing friends. You stare at the ceiling, and you are tired, but-decide to go reply to some of your fans, which you really are grateful for. You go to your TikTok page first, and click on one of your videos and start finding comments to reply to. Most comments said things like:

User1: Omg! This video is so wholesome

User2: Y/n I love ur videos!!!

User3: Literally! You are AMAZING

User4: U make may day everytime I watch one of ur videos. Seriously.

And those comments make you really happy. But-then you scroll through the comments section more, and hate starts to pop up.

User5: she's only popular bc of that lame smp

User6: she's honestly a wannabe jellybean LMAOOOOO

User7: unfollowed, idk why i did in the first place

User8: this is the reason I stopped watching the SMP

User9: now I hate this whole shitty smp even more

User10: She's trying to bee good enough lol

You're trying to get used to getting hate, but-you just can't. Your eyes fill with tears, and you start crying a little. You just want to have fun doing your job, and try to make people happy, and your fans support you and try to get the haters away, but-that doesn't change the fact that they still exist.

And they hate for no reason. You're just trying to enjoy life. You're struggling with depression-but you've told no one but Toby, one of your best and closest friends. He understands. These comments make everything so much worse. And the haters wouldn't care, they'd say you're trying to get pity from them if you posted about mental health. You cry even more, and feel alone, sitting there in your bed, at nine p.m. You long to text Alex about it all, but-you feel like you would be intruding on him if he was streaming, which was likely. And you also feel that you're not close enough to him to tell him about your problems, so you go and text Toby.

Okay. So ik u know i love the fandom. but i was scrolling thru tiktok and saw a lot of hate. You know my depression's horrible, and i cant take criticism from people who genuinely dislike me. i...cant go to this with anyone else, since...they don't know about my mental health state. it sounds like im pouting that not everyone loves me. its not that, i swear. It's just-people seem to hate on me for fun, and some even have entire SMP hate pages, and i dont think the world needs it. im gonna be honest with u toby: im crying rn. and-well, ur the only person I felt comfortable talking to u.
