Epilogue

On our way into the forest, we were forced to stop in the middle of running away when we saw meteors coming our way.

"Watch out!" Jay shouted. He seems to be feeling better now.

All of us tried our best to avoid the meteors, and got separated. Ni-ki and Sunoo were just together. And I was left behind with Jay, grabbing my arms to run away.

It turned out, it was controlled by a woman who was floating in the sky. The way her hands moved, it was directing the movement of the rocks.

"Let's go, Sunoo!" We heard Heeseung's voice before we could even get farther away from them. It made us feel relieved.

Ni-ki is injured and Sunoo is also feeling the same as mine. So it would be bad if they're both left alone. And we weren't sure if they're going to be fine by themselves.

After a few minutes of running, we saw a wooden hut which was located farther than the location where we left behind. We went inside and saw logs and woods, so it seemed that it was a storage. We're not located at the caldera anymore.

"Let's go inside." Jay said while panting heavily.

We both made it our temporary home to rest. We can't run any more miles. I've received a lot of damages and drained my energy tonight. That I can't even see even an inch of the future.

"Come, sit here." Jay patted the space in front of him and leaned his back on the logs.

I bit my lips and hesitated for a second. But the surrounding was so cold that I don't have any choice but to sit in front of him. He made me lean on his chest and hugged my back tightly which gave the both of us warmth to survive the night. I mean, he could. But I don't know about myself.

I sighed and couldn't help myself to tear up as I hear the deafening silence around us. Jay noticed it and forced me to look at him.

"Hey, are you okay? What happened?" He asked, concerned.

"I-I... I just can't bare the guilt alone. It's too heavy."

"Shh, it's fine, babe. If it's too heavy then I'll bear it with you. Tell me, what's our problem?"

"All of this happened because of me, Jay. It's all my fault! I placed you and everyone on danger. Because of my selfish reasons."

Jay kissed my forehead to try and calm me down.

"Everything is fine now. Because even if you did that, no one's going mad at you for doing so. Because we're a team, a family, brothers. Even if you did a huge mistake like that. Everyone will just forgive and forget everything."

He sniffed my neck and started kissing it. "Oh god, how much I'd love to be with you forever. Just collapse into me, don't be afraid to fall. I'll always meet you at the end."

His kisses stopped when the hut suddenly caught on fire. We immediately ran away outside and I saw  a familiar face who was walking on our way. Jay stepped in front of me as if trying to protect me from the man who was wearing a black cloak and bringing a lamp.

The man did not even budge with his movements. He looked really intimidating that I started to feel like I'm about to fall down on my knees. I couldn't move when I saw the same man on the fieldtrip. Behind him was the same woman who was floating on the sky.

When all of our eyes met, like a fire ignited, we started throwing daggers at each other. Jay, with his illusions, made numerous copies of himself and me to confuse the enemies. The woman was randomly throwing rocks at us, never knowing who was the right person to attack.

With my ability to know what happens in the next two seconds, I threw punches with the strength I gathered when I awakened. But it didn't last too long. Jay and I started to drain our pucnhes. But the man did not even manage to budge a little. He was just standing there before us. Letting the woman deal with our attacks.

We both looked at each other, and with out sync minds, we charged straight into the enemy together with some of the few clones left. Putting all of our energies into the last attack that it created friction into the air to color into gold. But it didn't land. We both caught by the woman's levitation magic. And it feels like we're held into our necks.

We were both gasping for air, trying to escape from their grip. It's probably because I just got my awakening that I can't handle enough energy and power to restrain their handles. My eyes slowly wavered, and my vision almost became blurry to even see.

Before I lost all my consciousness and lost my sight, I saw how the whole place lit up. My vision was so bright that it almost made my brain blind. And when I opened my eyes, I was in Jay's garden.

He hugged me so tightly and ruffled my hair with one of his hand.

"Wait for me. I'll be back."

Like a lost memory that was found again, I saw the memories of the past. Where we were on the same cliff. The same look on Jay's eyes. He whispered those words again.

"Wait for me. I'll be back."

--

I gasped for air as soon as I got my senses back. Hyuntae was in front of me, handing me some water.

"Hey, are you okay, bro?"

"No. Where is he?" I asked, starting to panick.

"Who?" Hyuntae seems to be confused with my question.

"Jay, where is he?" I asked Hyuntae desperately.

I need to find him. I have to save him from them. I need to fix what I have done.

"Wait, who's Jay? As far as  I know, you don't know someone named Jay. Jaeshin? That schoolmate we had from elementary?"

"No, Jay Park. Park Jongseong. Do you know him?"

"Hmm, I don't think so? Is he an idol? An actor?"

"He's a CEO of a company. Do you know him?"

"Chill man, you're just tired, I'm guessing. Take a rest first. It probably resulted when you collapsed on the hot spring. Next time, try not to last there for too long okay?"

No, this isn't real. Something must have happened!

I checked everything, I went outside and saw the same people I went with on the fieldtrip. The same place. I went to my teacher and saw her busy accompanying some guests. I immediately went my way to escape.

They all might think that I finally lost my mind. But I don't care! I must find him.

I ran away and went to the same place where I first saw Jay again. No matter how far I walk, I couldn't find it. I screamed in the middle of the forest out of frustration and knelt on my knees.

How could this happen to me? Everything seemed so real.

When the fieldtrip ended, I immediately wen to the same cliff. But it wasn't a dead forest inside the caldera. It was a beautiful lake, filled with beautiful creatures.

I sat down and teared up as I recall everything that happened on my dreams. No, my past.

No matter if he's real or not. I will never deny the fact that I have fallen in love with a person so great like you.

As the green field danced before me, and the blue lake reflected my soul, I kept on falling into a deep end. But he told me he'll meet me there. So I will be here, waiting.
