Unable to get any sleep, you decided to try to figure out what case could be next. The gaps in time between each actual murder occurring was stark in comparison to the real time repeats that were taking place. Most murders that the copies were based on were twenty, sometimes even thirty years apart. Though, the copies were by maximum, a few days at most apart.

Attempting to reach under your bed to look for something, you fell. Falling face first on the floor. Groaning in pain, you sat up. Kneeling on the carpet in an attempt to find what you were looking for. The diary. Eventually finding it, you opened it to the next page, ignoring the first diary entry.

To whomever finds this.

Our family have always been known as a family of detectives. Though, most ended up going mad and either committing crimes themselves or ending up dead.

Apparently, at some point, the L/N whom is a detective at the time, will go on a case that drives them to insanity. My great, great grandfather's case was the case of 1888. I shan't elaborate since it's a case everyone should know.

I realise now that my son has been doing the order wrong this entire time. I told him specifically the order these cases should go on. But he seems to have strayed from the path I set for him. Ahh, I shan't complain. He's going to all the trouble.

The order was supposed to be:

The year the Mafia boss, John Gotti was convicted of murder and racketeering, later being sentenced to life in prison.

The exact same day Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was killed when his aircraft was shot down by US fighters over Bougainville Island.

The day before the "Sound of Motown" premiered in Rotterdam.

Again, the exact same day West-Germany elected Karl Carstens as their president.

The day after the US Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan (US Army Medical Corps) killed 13 and wounded 43 at Fort Hood, Texas in the largest mass shooting ever at a US military installation.

A day after ER, Dennis Franz and Kathy Baker win the 48th Emmy Awards.

This took place throughout the month of August. Though, the event that stood out to me was co-ordinated bombings in Yazidi communities in Iraq killed at least 500 people, the second-deadliest terror attack of all time.

A day after a surprise attack on a Belgium supermarket in Aalst, killing 8 people.

A day before Japan and China signed a peace treaty.

I don't know the exact date of this one since it was so long ago. 1888 to be precise.

There were too many baseball stories for this month, so I didn't pay much mind. I'm not entirely sure if Richie Ashburn or Mike Schmidt would be names people would recognise.

Now, this took place over 2 years. 1918 and 1919. Pretty sure it was during the time of world war one actually.

This case wasn't something I thought would be included. However, a L/N had heard of it. Though, this one is different since a L/N didn't work on the case.

Armavia Flight 967 crashes into the Black Sea, killing 113 people on board, leaving no survivors.

Three days after Broadway theatres close due to labour disputes between owners and Actors Equity.

The same day that 81 people were injured after a part of the ceiling caved in at London's Apollo Theatre.

Again, the same day that 12 people are killed and 11 injured after a Yemeni Air Force plane crashes in Sana'a.
