"Mhm, well, you're welcome," Gerard mumbles once he hears Lyn's voice. He furrows his brow and pulls one of his legs down to set against the carpet. He nibbles on his lip and pushes off from the ground, going around to spin in a circle in the chair. He does for a couple minutes until stopping the chair completely and getting up from it. He stands awkwardly in the middle of the room, chewing on his lip. He glances at Lyn once before turning around and going into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
Gerard only stays in there for a few minutes. Just long enough to piss and wipe off his make-up. He shuffles back into his room, his head lowered, not wanting to look at the other girl. He sits back down in his chair, pushes his hair off his forehead, and turns to his desk, pulling out a piece of paper and a bunch of Sharpies. He takes the cap off one with his teeth and puts it to the paper, beginning to draw whatever thing popped up in his head first.
Lyn frowns as Gerard continues to spin in the chair. The atmosphere in the room is awkward and tense, and Lyn can't bear to be in it anymore. She wants to leave, but she knows she can't. She roughly swallows before reaching out a hand and grabbing the water bottle. She flicks her eyes up just in time to see Gerard disappear into the bathroom. She sighs, almost in relief, before twisting the cap off the bottle and taking a long drink.
She screws the cap back on and sets the water bottle next to her. It falls against her thigh almost automatically. She smacks her lips and looks around the room. Gerard isn't back yet. She furrows her eyebrows and shakes her head. She puts her palms flat against the bed covers and drags herself up to the top of the bed. She leans against the headboard, tilting her head back slightly. She bites her lip as she reaches out her hand, grabbing the container of pizza rolls and the water bottle and dragging them over to the bedside table. She was content with food for now,
Lyn raises up her head, seeing Gerard come back from the bathroom. She studies him for a few seconds with wide eyes. She notices that he had wiped off the makeup from his face, even though he was still pale without the makeup. She also notices that Gerard didn't dare look at her. Lyn can't help but to feel... a little hurt? She lowers her head, shaking it. What the fuck was wrong with her? She shouldn't care. She sighs slowly and softly.
After a couple minutes of the only sound being Gerard scratching the Sharpie against the paper, Lyn decides to speak. "Did your mother hear anything last night?" she asks quietly. She bites down on her lip and keeps her head lowered. She picks at her nails.
After a thousand, or so tries, Gerard thinks he's finally done it. Okay, maybe not, because it still seems a bit off. He leans back in his chair, gazing at the drawing of one of his many superheroes he has in his mind. This one, he thinks he'll name The White Violin, or something like that. He bites on the top of the Sharpie. He starts to consider her being a villian that betrays her friends, untill he hears Lyn's small voice behind him.
Gerard seems to freeze, and his fingers curl around the edge of the marker. He narrows his eyes at it, as he slides the cap back on it. "Um." He sets the marker down on the smooth surface of his desk. He bites at his lip even more. "Um."
Dammit, Gerard, can't you say anything else?
The black-head spins around in his seat and turns to face Lyn. He puts his hands in his lap and tilts his head to the side, some strands of his long hair falling in his face, but he quickly brushes it back behind his ear. "Yeah, she heard it last night..." He raises a hand and puts it to his mouth. He chews at his fingernail. "But, like, it's not unusal for her to hear me yelling at someone that she doesn't think is actually there." He lowers his head and spins back around in his chair, sniffing loudly.
Gerard mustn't have been talking for that long, because he was looking back at his drawing, with a strained expression on his face. Lyn doesn't remember what the other had said. She bites her lip. Maybe he'll repeat himself if she doesn't reply. Lyn lowers her head, closing her eyes. She picked up the water bottle, unscrewed the top off the bottle and raises it up to her lips, taking a drink.
