Mukuro's POV

As Peko drove down the street, I looked out the window, confused.

"Hey guys, isn't Sakura's dojo back on that street?"

"Indeed it is, Mukuro." Sakura said, in her usual condescending tone. Peko took up the conversation. "We're driving out to Starbucks. Hina recommended it. It is okay if I call her Hina, right Sakura?"

"Of course, Peko. She wouldn't mind."

I was still confused, and I heard my breath racing a bit. Why would they lie to me? "I don't get it," I said. "Why did you guys tell me we were training?"

"We're sorry if it hurt you, Mukuro. We just knew it would be the only way to get you out." I looked down for a second, knowing they were right. I haven't even taken Sayaka anywhere in a while.

I sighed, and my head still hurt a bit. After pulling into Starbucks, a place Junko and lots of other people constantly rave about, we got out of the car and walked inside.

"This place actually smells really good," I said, taking a big sniff of the coffee and baked goods.

Sakura ordered for us, we trusted her to know what we would like. We were right, the coffee was delicious.

Sitting in a booth with the store's trademark green seats, we struck up a conversation.

Peko started with; "I would take Akane here, but I'm afraid she would spend too much money eating these cake-pops." Sakura and I laughed, and Sakura mentioned how Aoi thinks highly of the donuts there. After finishing, we walked out and piled back into the car.

"Say, Ikusaba. Isn't today...that day?" I looked at her, and nodded in understanding. "It's always weird knowing in advance, but we're preparing for the long night."

The killing pain.
