Chapter Six

"This is bad, really bad." Thomas said to me when I explained to him what happened at the mall. "How bad?" I said. "That they want you killed." Thomas answered. I cried a little. "No, I want to go back home now." I said. "This is not how I planned for my summer to be like."
"Well how did you want to spend your summer?" He asked me. "Well, I don't know. Going to the pool?" I lied. I wanted take classes, volunteer places and hang out with my dad. "Stop lying when you know I can read your mind. What type of classes do you want to take?" He asked me. My cheeks got red. "Literature." I said. "Why didn't you tell us this. They have classes here. Why not sign up? I could bring you right now." He said. I jumped on him. "Really! Oh my gosh, yasss!!!" I exclaimed while I hugged him tight.

"What's going on here?" Edward asked as he came inside the backyard. "I'm going to have Jennifer sign up to take some summer classes." Thomas answered. Edward laughed. "They're strict about how much you know. I didn't even make it and I thought I knew everything." He said. "Shut up Edward." I said. "Make me." He said. I pushed him into the big pool they had in the backyard. He quickly came out and started running towards to me. I started running as fast as i.could inside the house. I tripped on a chair and Edward tripped on me. I laughed and his eyes got wide as he quickly got up. "I'm gonna get you back. And you won't know when." He said as his eyes turned red. "Drama Queen." I murmered. "What?" Edward said.

"I feel like my heart is stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, I'm under pressure 'cause I can't have you the way that I want. Let's just get back to the way it was." I heard as I walked past Ariel's room. I opened the door. "You like Ariana Grande too!!" I said. Ariel turned around. "Yeah. Finally a tiny elephant around here. Everytime I play her music everyone groans. I think I overplay them." She said. "Maybe." I said. Just then a brick broke through Ariel's window into a room. I took the brick and there was a piece of paper stuck to it. "Don't you know about texting??!?!?" I screamed out the window. Ariel looked scared and I have to admit, I was scared too. "Read the note." She said as she stopped the music. I opened it.

"It's an invitation for something tomorrow at 7pm. But it won't tell what it's for." I said. "Give it to Edward. He might know what it's for. He's always talking to weirdos." Ariel said as she grabbed a towel. "I'm gonna go take a shower."
I nodded. I walked down the hall to Edward's room. It was open and Edward was lying on the bed. Was he sleeping? I went inside his room and looked at him. He kinda looked dead but he wasn't because you can see his chest going up and down. I touched his arm about to wake him until I turned up somewhere else.

I was in the garden, I was about to go back in until I saw someone who looked exactly like me run next to me. Then I saw Edward run after. He was laughing and chasing the girl around then they sat down. There was another girl with them. I walked over and scanned the other Girl's face. "Mom." I croaked out.
