Ashton's POV
We rush upstairs. Dana knocked over a canister of helium, which knocked over a lamp, which hit a table, and then a ball on the table rolled off the table, the ball then hit a spider, and the spider came running towards us.
"Did you set that up?!" I exclaim.
"No, it's just my luck." Dana casually answers, and then she walks out to her room. Julie starts to straighten everything up.
"It could've been worse." I say, trying to lighten the mood.
"I guess." Julie shrugs. "Oh and could you have Elise over until the day after tomorrow."
"So Saturday."
"Yeah, please."
"Sure." I would love to spend more time with Elise. She is constantly doing something whenever I'm free. "Oh, I have a concert Saturday." I remember.
"That's perfect, take her to it. She's never been to a concert before." Julie tells me.
"She was at my last one though." I'm confused.
"She figured out what time it ended and then came at the end. She wants the first time that she goes to a concert to be special." Dana informs me.
"Oh, I'll invite her." I say, then I step outside to go and call her.
"Hello?" She answers
"Hi, are you home?" I ask even though I know she's not.
"No I'm coming home right now though." shit, I need to ask her quick.
"Well i was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house, and stay till Saturday. You could come to my concert again." I ramble on.
"I would love to," she laughs "but my birthday is Sunday. I should get home in case they burn down the house trying to bake my cake."
"I thought Julie was really good at baking." I try to make it seem that all is okay.
"Fine, I'll be over in 10 minutes." She gives in.
"Perfect, bye." I smile.
"Toodles." I can practically hear her smile. She hangs up first. When I go back inside something smells burnt.
"Something smells burnt." I say and crinkle my nose. I see Dana smile. Oh no...
"THE CAKE!" Julie yells. "It says it still has 2 more days to bake..."
"Dana!" I yell. "I don't have time to bake another cake, I have to go back to my house now." I say.
"It's fine I'll do it." Julie sighs. I rush over to my/Michael's/Luke's house. About a minute after I get there Elise's car arrives. She has a dark green Jeep Wrangler. Since it's warm outside her top is open. I greet her at the door.
"Hi." I say.
"Hello." she says back. We sit down on the couch. "So I was wondering..." she starts.
"Yeah?" I encourage her to go on.
"I want to have a party on Monday, the Monday after my birthday. Would you want to come?" She asks. I need an excuse, and I need it quick.
"I'll have to see, when do I need to RSVP by?" Wow great excuse.
After a pause of though she says, "Sunday."
"Alright, I'll see then. Please, come inside." I smile, our five week relationship has gone well so far. At least I think of it as a relationship. Now that I think about it more, I've never actually asked her to be my girlfriend. We sit down on the couch.
"Hey, Elise, can I ask you something?" I start.
"Yeah, anything." she says, her smile fades when she sees how serious the look on my face is. "What is it?" She asks, she sounds concerned.
"Well, I was wondering..." I know it's killing her that I'm not being straightforward with what I'm saying.
"Come on!" She is anxious to know if it's good or bad.
"...If you wanted to be my girlfriend."
Her smile comes again. "Sure." she says, blushing.
"Oh, ok, well we can at least be fr- wait, you said yes?!" I'm surprised.
"I guess." I didn't know how shy she was with these things. I'm really happy that she said yes though. She leans over, I expect a kiss. Instead I get a great big hug. Our hug is interrupted by a knock on the door. Who could be knocking? Probably Michael and Maddy. I go over to answer it. It's not Michael and Maddy though it's...
(Oh, cliffhangers! Thanks for reading, I really appreciate it. I say it every time, but I love you all. My chapter have been getting longer, but I felt like this one just had to cut off here.)
