Can't Stop Runnin'

Chapter 11

"What is it?!" Dana hurriedly cut Elise off.

"Yeah what?" Julie asks before she can respond.

"Well you know Harry?" Elise is slow to getting to the point.

"Styles?" Julie calmly asks.

"Yeah... He brought me a present. In it he had a.... a... an exploding balloon, filled with green acrylic paint." She explains.

"What?!" Dana shouts. "You're cleaning this up!"

"No I'm not!" Elise fights back. "Call Harry over to clean it up!" She storms off and goes into her room.

"We might as well get a new couch!" Dana says to no one in particular.

Ten minutes pass, and Elise finally walks out. She goes out the front door without saying a word. I don't know what to do.

Elise's POV

Kylie seemed a little sad at my surprise party, so I'm going to go see her. I'm also using that as my excuse to get out of the house. It kinda bugs me that Ashton didn't stick up for me, but then again I guess he doesn't really know what to do in a girl fight.

Kaia and Emilee (one of or other friends) are at Kylie's place when I arrive. I don't knock I just go straight in. Kylie is crying.

"Oh my gosh! What happened?" I ask.

"Luke and her broke up." Emilee explains.

"But what about the baby?" I ask.

"It was a miscarriage." Kylie says through her sobs.

"Oh." I sigh. Kylie needs a hug. "I'm so sorry." I tell her after our long, needed hug.

"It's fine." Kylie says wiping her eyes. "It's not your fault."

Kaia, Emilee, and I calm her down after about an hour of trying.

"I have to go. I'll text you." I tell her.

Ashton told me to meet him at the bus stop on his old street. I'm not really sure why though.

It takes me twenty minutes to get there, but I do make it. It's very foggy out, so from where I parked I can't tell which of the two figures I see is Ashton. As I get closed I realize that one is a girl. She is sitting quite close to Ashton. His hands and feet are bound with a thick rope, and there's duck tape over his mouth. This can't be good.

Ashton's POV

About twenty minutes after Christina texts Elise from my phone, she arrives. Christina isn't looking too good. Her makeup isn't fully done and she hasn't gotten her hair dyed recently.

"What's going on?" Elise asks as soon as she shows up. She's obviously worried.

"I wanted to play some games with Ashton, and I thought that you might want to tag along." Christina smirks.

She has duck tape over my mouth, so I can't say anything.

"What will it take for you to let him go?" Elise is trying her best to be calm.

"For him to give me another chance." Christina knows that that's not going to happen.

"Okay." Elise agrees. What is she thinking?!

"Wait really?" Christina asks surprised.

"No." Elise punches her in the face and quickly unties me.

"Thanks." I smile.

"Not the time." she reminds me.

We hop in her car and she drives to her place.

"It'll be better for you to stay here." Elise tells me.

"No, if I go to my place I'll have the boys there." I explain.

"Fine, but be safe." Elise gives in.

"Okay, you too." I tell her. Who knows why Christina will do.

I go straight to bed when I get home, I'm too tired after my adventurous day.

The next morning I go over Elise's house. There's no answer. I get the spare key and walk into Elise's room. On her bed there is a note:

Ashton,

Christina let me write one last note before I was officially gone. I want you to know that I love you and that its okay to move on from me. You were there for me when I needed it most. One last I love you, and a goodbye forever.

I start to cry.Christina took the only thing that mattered to me. I flip over the paper so I don't have to look at it. On the back there is another little note:

I'll be back one day, don't worry. <3

I'm confused after reading that, all I know is that the love of my life is gone and my insane ex-girlfriend took her.
