Scott was worriedly waiting for the young girl to arrive. He was expecting to hear the screeching of tires, or the honking of a horn, so he was confused when he only heard panting and knocking. His eyebrows scrunched together on top of his puppy brown eyes.

He jumped from his seat as the door to the animal clinic was roughly smacked into. He looked at the door, making his way towards it. The little girl he was waiting for was standing there. He scanned the area for any vehicles, when he didn't see any, his eyes widened and he quickly unlocked the door, letting the girl in.

"Did you run all the way here?" He queried, slightly chuckling as she fell into one of the waiting room chairs with a heavy sigh.

"Is water wet? Is the sun hot? Does a bear shit in the woods? Do-"

"Ok, ok, got it"

She snorted, moving her hair from her eyes and relaxed in the chair. "So, why did you need me... here?" the girl wondered, watching as he fidgeted around.

He looked away from her, knowing she wouldn't be completely happy with the reason. "I'm sorry" he mumbled, refusing to look in the girl's eyes.

"Why? You didn't do any-" she stopped herself as she looked up at the teen boy "What did you do?"

As Scott was about to answer, a knock sounded at the door once more, the girl shot out of her chair, the familiar scent of her brother swarming her.

"O-oh, got it" Lexie said, sitting down and looking down again, Scott sent her a sad glance, not expecting her to have that reaction.

"What's she doing here?" Derek mumbled, his eyes landing on his little sister.

Scott sat next to her, ignoring the waves of anxiety rolling off of her. "I trust her" Scott said, simply.

Lexie relaxed a bit, rolling her shoulders back to try and get rid of the tension.

"What's he doing here?" Scott retorted as Isaac leaned on the wall next to his alpha.

At this, Lexie looked up, seeing the familiar dirty blond beta. An almost invisible smile crept onto her lips as the beta looked at her, although he was feeling guilty that he hadn't talked to her in a while, he sent a descrete smile back.

"I need him," Derek excused, his eyes not leaving his sister who only crossed her arms over her chest, trying to seem more confident than she clearly felt.

Lexie, blocked out the little argument between Scott and Isaac while she looked at her brother. She wanted him to see what she was actually feeling, she wanted him to know, more than anyone. But she wasn't ready to tell anyone, and clearly he didn't want to know either. Derek met her gaze for a split second, but he quickly shifted his eyes, his annoyance growing at the betas' bickering.

"You know what? And Derek really doesn't care" Derek countered, speaking in third person.

"That's not saying much" Lexie instinctively said, actually wanting him to care. Not about the situation at this point, but about her. She wanted him back.

"Where's the vet?" Derek spoke, glancing at Scott. "Is he gonna help us or not?" He barked, making Isaac on edge at his fierce alpha's tone.

"That depends. Your friend, Jackson. Are we planning to kill him or save him?" Deaton asked, making Lexie turn around sharply at the veterinarian's sudden voice.

Derek and Scott spoke in unison, but their responses were the complete opposite.

"Save him," Scott stated.

"Kill him" Derek proclaimed, the two wolves shifting towards each other, one of them shocked and the other annoyed.

"Save him," Scott demanded, waiting for Derek to challenge him. The alpha only gave the teen a stubborn glance, not agreeing with the method. "Save him," Scott repeated with more force.
