This 'chapter' will contain the different visits in the hospital. The next chapter will continue with the teen wolf storyline.

Lexie had been shuffled from one hospital room to the next over the past few days. Each relocation seemed to blur into the other, with sterile walls and the faint beeping of machines her constant companions. After enduring multiple surgeries, her body ached with fatigue, and the long, sleepless nights had drained her of any remaining energy. Dark circles hung under her eyes, and her limbs felt heavy, almost disconnected. She now found herself in the children's ward, in room 37, the pastel-colored walls and cheerful decorations a sharp contrast to how she felt inside. The soft sounds of children's laughter echoed faintly from the hallway, but all she could focus on was the overwhelming exhaustion that pressed down on her like a weight.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of isolation, Lexie could receive visitors besides Derek. She'd been longing for more company, for the familiar faces that had been absent from her life during these long hospital days. Not that she didn't appreciate Derek—quite the opposite. Having her brother by her side again meant the world to her. His steady presence had brought her comfort during some of her darkest moments, and she craved his company more than she could admit. But there was a part of her that missed her wider circle—the people who had become like a second family to her.

Scott, with his calm strength and unshakeable loyalty. Isaac, always a little awkward but with a heart as big as his grin. And Stiles, with his sarcastic remarks that never failed to make her laugh, even in the worst situations.

Then there was Joel, her best friend. She hoped more than anything that he had come. She missed him deeply and longed to see his face, to hear his voice, to feel the familiarity of their bond. He always knew how to make her feel like herself again, and right now, that was what she needed most.

Before her last surgery, Derek had reassured her, giving her the strength she hadn't known she needed. His words had helped her face the procedure without the paralyzing fear she had felt before. The surgery had gone smoothly, thank goodness, and though her leg was sore, the pain was manageable—nothing she couldn't handle.

The only thing that really bothered her was the fact that she needed to walk with crutches for a while, not being allowed to put pressure on her left leg.

She was alerted by the slightly louder ticking noise the clock made when the hour changed.

It was 11 o'clock.

Visiting hours had began.

ISAAC LAHEY & ALEXIS HALE

Lexie lay in her bed, eagerly and hopefully looking at the door, hoping to see someone come into the room almost the second the clock struck 11 a.m. She didn't think about the hundreds of the other patients that needed some company as much as her.

When the clock turned to 11:01, her eyebrows scrunched together, and she exhaled, kind of dissapointed. She felt foolish as to think someone would rush to see her. She could wait.

It was 11:04 when she heard the door click open, revealing her nurse along with a tall, dirty blonde teen boy with blue eyes. The nurse closed the door behind Isaac after he entered, he himself having forgotten to do so in the process.

He rushed to Lexie's side almost immediately, sitting down on the chair that the girl's brother had occupied the day before. His concerned face softened when he saw the smile that lay calmly on the brunette's tired features. "You-you came."

"You doubted that? How are you feeling?" he seriously replied, scanning over the IV's connected to the girl's body. His look lingered a bit more on the heart monitor, checking that her heart was actually still beating.
