Chapter 1 ~ A New Mission

Tsukiyo sighed as she walked down the street an umbrella over her head as the rain poured down around her as she ignored the varying looks pity and awe from the surrounding people. Being one of the youngest S-Level hunters was sure to bring unwanted attention towards the young girl which was why she tried to hide her strength until it was needed for her to announce her power.
The girl in question was currently looking down at her phone, scrolling through her messages with the Chairman to find the location of the newest gate that had popped up. Tsukiyo wanted nothing more than to be at home right now curled up on the sofa with some pizza on her lap whilst she watched tv. Unfortunately for her, she was the only S-rank hunter available at the moment, so it was up to her to enter the gate and close it by defeating the boss.
Arriving at her destination and Tsukiyo waved briefly to the attendants stationed outside the gate monitoring its activity. Tsukiyo looked up at the gate with a small frown on her face, she was sensing a weird energy emanating from the gate which she hadn't felt before. However, Tsukiyo brushed the weird feeling to the back of her head, she knew she was stronger than the majority of the other hunters and had full confidence in her ability to defeat the gate boss and close it.
Tsukiyo hands the attendant back their device which had the gate details and reading on before slipping her hand into her pocket and pulling out a cigarette. She balanced the cigarette between her lips and pulled out a lighter, the flame flickering against her lips as she calmly walks into the gate with a slightly bored expression on her face.

Unbeknownst to Tsukiyo, as soon as she entered the gate, it completely disappeared, leaving no traces of energy or any proof that it had even existed in the first place. That was the last day anyone in Korea saw or heard from the S-rank hunter Tsukiyo Yami, she never returned from that gate and was pronounced M.I.A by the hunters association.
