A Journey Through Hell and Heaven

Chapter Eight: Mighty Demise

The elevator doors open, and Nyeruu leads us to the camera room to find the entrance, which we try to enter, but it caves in, blocking the exit.

"What? The entrance is blocked, do we have any other exit?" Alzo says.

"I remember discovering an exit around the top of this base, although it's on the top of this mountain, we'll probably find a way down" says Nyeruu.

We backtrack our way up to the mountain and near the top, we find a big door that seems to be locked.

"I'll try to open it" I say as I walk up to it.

"I will help you, I do not think you can open it alone" Also says as two of his proxies, Null and Kulio, assist us.

We all pry it open after about 20 seconds of trying, and we walk to the mountaintop. It's just a flat piece of land, although that's not the problem, the problem is there's suddenly a lava ocean surrounding the mountain. We all have no idea how it got here, but we hear the giant roar again as a giant Omen emerges from the lava. He smashes his hand onto the mountain, breaking apiece of it away.

Tragically, Alzo's proxies were on that piece of land, and fell into the lava, and Alzo drops to his knees in shock.

"Why?! Why are you doing this to us!?" Eve shouts at Omen.

"You peasants are ruining my base, so I need to take care of you insects"

Eve, eyes red with rage, actually shoots a beam of light at Omen, making him stumble backwards, even if just a little bit.

"I applaud you, Eve, actually fighting back for once and not cowering again"

"Funny, you talk about cowering, do you still remember our last fight?" someone says.

"Olypious?!" Nyeruu shouts in confusion.

"Yes, I'm here to assist you in your fight against this evil rat"

"I did not cower, you banished me to this place when I was still a human, now I'm at my true form, so I won't be holding back like last time" says Omen.

"All I hear are excuses, but that doesn't matter when your crimes and sins will finally eat you up"

Olypious then turns to us and says;

"Omen is extremely powerful, if you're caught off guard, you'll pay with your life, I won't be able to fight along you since I will be boosting your powers stronger than on the surface"

"This is boring, how about we just start this massacre already?" Omen says impatiently.

"Oh this will be a massacre alright" Alzo says as he unlocks his inner star as grows to the size of Omen and punches him in the jaw.

Omen retaliates by punching Alzo in the gut while Eve shoots balls of light at Omen to distract him. Nyeruu climbs up Omen's leg and when she arrives at his head, starts stabbing out his eyes. Omen picks up Nyeruu and almost throws her into the lava.  Luckily she used a knife to save herself by stabbing it into the mountain, stopping herself from falling.

Omen gouges out his own eyeballs and drops them on everyone, regenerating new ones. It crushes Eve, it injures her but Olypious helps her out. I shapeshift my hand into a grappling hook and latches onto Omen's chest and starts slicing and bashing him with multiple shapeshifted weapons.

Eve grows wings and shoots a light beam again at Omen while Alzo grabs Omen and headbutts him, staggering Omen back. In the midst of the chaos, Nyeruu, once again, climbs up on Omen and uses a grenade to throw into Omen's mouth, blowing up his stomach.

Omen, having enough, activates a shockwave which knocks everyone back except Nyeruu, who clinged on. Alzo falls back, his hand accidentally knocking Eve out of the air and they both fall onto the mountain. Both me and Olypious fall to the ground. Omen picks up Nyeruu and drops her in his mouth, devouring her whole.

--POV CHANGE--
(Nyeruu's perspective)

Falling into Omen's stomach, I try to get out, but I keep sliding off. I use my knifes and climb myself up. I'm sure Omen feels my knifes trying to get out, so I think he raises his own stomach acid to attempt to kill me. I can't climb up in time, the acid's rising faster than I can climb, so in an act of desperation, I randomly start cutting up a piece of flesh with my sword, hoping it'll cut me out.

After I almost feel the acid about to engulf me, I actually burst out of Omen's chest and land on the mountain. Blood and acid go everywhere. Fortunately Alzo shielded the others with himself, making sure the other don't get hurt by the acid, I feel bad for him however, I can see the pain on his eyes.

--POV CHANGE--
(Modesto's perspective)

I grow wings and fly up to Omen, punching him with multiple weapons as I fly by, striking him with spears, hammers and other weapons. He grabs me out of the air and slams me into the lava. Pain. I feel my own flesh sizzling and melting away. But that won't be enough to kill me, and I rise out of the lava as a meat skeleton. I grow wings and grow a sword on my right hand, so fly and swoop in on Omen, aiming for his neck. His decapitated head falls onto the mountain as it shrinks back to normal size.

His body keeps fighting however, so the others think of a plan. With Nyeruu and I cutting away at the arms, it weakens it enough for Alzo to rip them off. Eve powers up a final beam to disintegrate Omen's body, turning it to ash falling into the lava.

They all meet up back at the mountaintop. Alzo shrinks back to normal and Modesto regenerates all his flesh back. Modesto walks over to Omen's head and crushes it under his boot with one stomp.

"We did it!" Eve shouts.

"At last, that fool received his revenge" Alzo says.

"After centuries of torment from him, it's finally over" Olypious says after a breath of relief.

"While it's good that Omen is dead, now what do we do? How are we going to escape Hell?" says Nyeruu.

"I'll go try and find something" I say as I grow wings and start flying for new land.

--POV CHANGE--
(Nyeruu's perspective)

Modesto went looking for land, and I asked Olypious a question;

"Why didn't you help us before?"

She replies back "I couldn't, if I ever interfered in Hell/Heaven battles, I'll get punished by Xavos"

"Who's Xavos?"

"He's the god of Heaven, he's much more powerful than Omen and wants balance over anything. Since there's no ruler of Hell anymore, everything isn't in balance, and he'll probably kill me if we ever interact"

"Well isn't sending us to Hell practically interfering?"

"Not exactly, at least by Xavos' rule. Sending someone to Heaven/Hell doesn't count for him, it only counts if you yourself effected something"

After half an hour, Modesto flies back and confirms that he hasn't found anything.

Out of nowhere, a vine from the sky drops, and we all looked at each other, knowing this is our only chance to escape, we all climb it, after some while, we see a light near the top, and after we've all climbed it, we finally get a look and it looks like paradise. Beautiful clouds, sparkling lakes and rivers, yet the intimidating towers in the background ruin the 'paradise' immersion.

We all walk forwards, and we're met with someone familiar.

"Hey Nyeruu and Eve, remember me?"

It's Doniko.

"It's been a while, but I fulfilled my promise, I payed you guys back for saving me, so I let down a vine for you all to climb, anyway, welcome to Heaven!"

I look over at the others, and Olypious looks horrified.
