Chapter 14 Burned

"Oh crap."

"What is it?" Fred asks Y/N as they stand in the fields.

She points to the courtyard. "They just saw. Ron just saw."

He looks over and doesn't say anything.

"I realize that every time we kiss I run off, but I promise. This is the last time." Y/N tells him.

"Go." He smiles as he tells her.

Y/N runs up and after Ron.

She runs past Hermione and Harry who follow her.

"Ron." Y/N says as she chases him.

"Ron!"

He stops and turns around. "How long?"

"What?"

"How long have you and Fred been snogging?" He says annoyed.

Y/N is taken back for a second. In her mind she knows that she owes him that much. He deserves to know the truth, no matter the result of knowing it.

She sighs. "Since the meteor shower."

Ron looks pissed when Hermione says. "It's not that big of a deal, Ro-"

"No, Hermione. Of all the people, Fred?"

"It's not like I chose him, it just happen-"

Ron cuts Y/N off. "Just leave me alone."

He walks off.

 Harry asks Y/N. "Aren't you going to stop him?"

She speaks faintly. "I can't change the way he feels, Harry. What's done is done."

"But is he truly worth it? Fred, I mean." Hermione asks.

"Yes."

Y/N's sure of it. Fred Weasley brings so much happiness to her and she knows that it's worth pursuing whatever they have going on.

                                                                                      One Week Later.

Y/N and Hermione sit at one part of the Gryffindor table at lunch, Harry and Ron sit at the other.

"This is getting ridiculous, Y/N. We need each other, all of us. Especially considering the issues going on. Sirius Black for one" Hermione explains.

Y/N looks at Hermione. "I know, but what am I supposed to say. He's mad. I shouldn't have kept things secret."

Fred walks over with an orange and sits next to Y/N. "Here, you really should eat something."
