Y/N sits in the Gryffindor common room with a bunch of textbooks stacked up and one open in front of her. It's seven o-clock in the morning.

Ron and Harry walk into the room and Ron asks. "Please tell me you aren't going to read through all of those."

Y/N doesn't say anything to them, she doesn't even look up.

"Y/N? Are you there?" Harry asks.

She looks up and responds. "Oh, sorry. I was just focused on this. What were you saying?"

"I asked if you were seriously planning to read all of those books so early in the morning." Ron inquires.

"No, I'm just finishing. I already read all of thos- Did you say morning?" Y/N asks.

Harry looks concerned. "Yes. Have you been up all night reading those?!"

Y/N gets up. "I guess so."

Ron looks shocked. "Honestly Y/N, you should go get some sleep."

"No, I'm fine. Why are you two even up yet?" She says as she looks down at her watch.

"That's not important." Harry responds.

"Ok then."

Y/N heads back up to the dorm and starts getting ready.

Everyone sits in the great hall and eats breakfast.

"So, we have Defense Against The Dark Arts after this. What do you think we're going to be doing?" Hermione asks.

Ron speaks while he's eating. "Probably just textbook work seeing as exams are coming soon."

As they continue talking Y/N rests her head against her hand. She's trying her best to stay focused on what everyone's saying.

"I hope Professor Lupin makes it through more than one year, seeing as we have a new D.A.D.A teacher every year." Neville comments.

Y/N finds herself slowly drifting off, but coming back to consciousness multiple times.

"I hope so, he's by far the best one we've had since we first arrived at Hogwarts." Hermione tells them.

Y/N keeps listening as Ron says. "I agree, he's definitely one of the better ones he-"

Y/N eventually stops listening and closes her eyes. She feels herself slowly drifting off to the sound of the great hall's chaos. Finally, Y/N fully falls asleep.

"Y/N? Y/N!"

She wakes up in a rush and her head slips off her hand, falling into the bowl of cereal she was ignoring before she fell asleep
