"Always"

Chapter 1

Whoosh! Pow! Pow! Everything was on fire! Gunshots everywhere, people running and houses on fire. The most powerful Hydra was attacking a town because they shot one of their men. Leo, the second most powerful Hydra, was trying to stop his father from destroying it but it was too late. His father wouldn’t have listened anyways, King Jemmo hated his son Leo because he did not want to become the next king. After hours and hours of burning and gunshots, it all finally stopped. Many men were killed, 10 Hydras, 50 men in the army, and over a 100 civilians that just were living in the village. Leo helped get most children out of the town and the women. After he got them out to the best of his ability he got all animals and men he could. His father, King Jemmo, finally calmed down and went back to his kingdom of the SnowDrags. Leo was able to get all of the people he managed to help all to another town where they would be safe. Now he had to go back to the kingdom, he already knew the speech he was about to get by his father but he didn't really care.

    Leo came home to his father yelling at him for helping the people in the town. ¨They are not our friends Leo Callo! They are our enemies!¨ His father yelled. Leo replied in a calm, not caring, tone ¨What have they done so bad? They didn't mean to shoot your men, plus you made 10 other of your men die, and it was YOUR fault! I was trying to help them, not just the humans but your men too!” “That's enough Leo,” his mother told him. Queen Alia, his mother, hated seeing them fight so much, she always wanted them to get long but they never would. “Mother you know what that man does is horrible! Why take his side!?” “I said that’s enough Leo. Leave your father alone and go outside or something, he needs rest.” She persuasively told him to make him go outside or somewhere. “Whatever. This place sucks anyways” he groaned. 

    Leo walked through the Firesse forest, he was missing his old childhood friend Akito. He walked to their old meeting spot just to see if maybe his friend was there. He was! Akito was sitting right there on the rock they would always meet at, he was talking to himself, it was obvious he went there a lot. “I actually began to get feelings for him, but now he can't come to see me anymore” he sighed. Leo got right behind him quietly as he listened to him speak.
“...was it stupid to begin to love him not only as my friend, but as my crush or lover? Will he ever come back? Oh I miss him so much. I would do anything in the world to get him back!” he trailed off.

    “Love aye?” Leo chuckled out. Akito immediately turned around to look at the voice he recognized. “Leo!” he stuttered but then jumped up and hugged him. Of course Leo hugged back, “so what is all that love stuff you were talking about, hm?” “oh- it was nothing! You heard nothing!” Akito got really nervous, he wasn't ready to confess just yet. All the feelings he had for Leo, he couldn't let them out now. Leo sighed, “if you say so.” Just as a tease, Leo winked at him. The wink made Akito very flustered, “what was that about!?” Leo began to laugh uncontrollably, “nothing shorty” “i'm not that short! Meanie!”

    They talked and talked for hours. Leo kept teasing him throughout the whole time they were catching up with each other, he saw it as funny because Akitos face would go red and would get all shy. It got dark by the time they finished talking. “Does this all really have to end? We finally got to meet back up! I don’t want it to end again and never see you once again. I missed you so much I can't do that anymore. I won't be able to stay mentally stable!” he exclaimed! “I will come back tomorrow at the same time as I did today. I won't let us get caught again.” “You promise?” 

“Always.” Leo assured him as he walked off into the dark.

It was the next morning, Akito was woken up by his mother, Halein, coughing. He ran to his mother and gave her one of the Healing Zerros he picked up the day before so he wouldn't have to run out quickly to get some for her. “There you go momma,” he handed the Zerros to her. She ate one, “thank you sweetie,” “your welcome momma, oh yeah! I saw Leo again yesterday!” he jumped with excitement. “That is good hun, I know how much you missed him. Did you confess?” “Of course not! I can't just tell him how i feel! But I think he heard me venting about it.” Akito sighed. “You need to confess before he finds someone else Akito, Leo is going to be a king soon. He will have to find someone so just confess! I support you all the way honey,” his mother said with a kiss on his head. 

“Maybe I will confess, today when we meet, will be the time I confess!” he  pridefully stated. “That's what I like to hear Akito!” she smiled.

    It came time to meet back up. Leo was already waiting at the rock with his pet dragon-wolf ( a Meire ) he called Oli. Akito came walking up to him, “Hey! Sorry i'm a little late-Ii was talking to my momma.” “Is she doing any better?” he asked. “Yeah a little! She isn't puking everything she eats anymore luckily. But uhm, Leo. Can i tell you something this is really important to me.” Akito asked, seeming nervous. “ “Of course, you should know I would never mind Akito.”

“So uhm, you know how I was talking about love yesterday when you saw me here?” Akito mumbled. “Yeah, why?”

“Well, i have liked you for a while now! Ever since we were little kids actually. You care so much for me and you are very handsome! I know you are a SnowDrag and I'm a LovelyDrag but i can't just hide what i feel!  It's ok if you hate me now because two different dragons aren't supposed to fall in love.” Akito hesitated as he pet Oli. “Akito I feel the same! I have been too shy in a way to confess to you, but I planned on confessing to you soon. I'm actually very surprised you beat me to it! You're so sweet and shy. I love it. But we cant be together yet, we must wait to be 18 so I can get out of my parents hands and be able to move into my own house with you!” Akito became crazy flustered. “See? That is proving my point, absolutely adorable! It's cute when you get flustered! You go all red and shy. It's cute.”                                           

Akito pouted, “I understand that, I didn't even think you would like me but I knew if you did. We wouldn't be able to date, but i couldn't hide it anymore.” “I will ask you once we are 18!” Leo pridefully stated. 

Akito asked, “Promise?” 

“Always.”
