Ginny and Alice had  their ears pressed agenst the large wooden door which a plaque which read Mary Cattermole; Head of Healing, Saint Mungos. A voice, probably Ms. Cattermole, was talking to Lily and James.

"Mr. and Mrs. Potter I'm very sorry about this small incident-"

"Small incident-" snapped James jumping to his feet.

"James please..."  Mrs. Potter whispered so softly the girls could barley hear it. Alice had never heard her mom so sad and scared. Outside the door she grabbed Ginny's hand and gripped it tight.

"We have investigated" Mrs. Cattermole continued "and we have the information to fill in the blanks-"

"BLANKS!" bellowed James "I DON'T REMEBER HALF OF MY DAY-"

"James-" Lily reasoned with her husband

"MY SON WAS BLEEDING WITH NO OBVIOUS REASONS" James huffed dramatically "AND HE IS UNCONSIOUS AND YOU CALL IT BLANKS"

"James Harry Potter let the poor woman talk" Lily snapped

"Lily I-" Lily's expression stopped him short and he dropped back onto the small couch next to his wife.

"As I said before" said Mrs. Cattermole uneasily "we have the answers to these... mishaps, well most of them" James started to interupt. Lily placed her hand on his, stopping him before he could start. "Before I explain the rest I am glad to inform you that both your son and Mr. Longbottom will be well enough to attend Hogwarts tomorrow." To this Lily sighed in relief. She knew Harry would be crushed if he could go to the school tomorrow. "We investigated all the offices and rooms." Mrs. Cattermole continued "We found these-" she gestured to the empty bottle which she picked up from her desk. "- in the bathroom. They once contained Polyjuice Potions. This explains you -Mr. Potter- not remembering your day."

"No it bloody doesn't." James exclaimed running his hands through his hair.

"You told us" Mrs. Cattermole continued as if she had never been interupted. "that you had beckoned for Harry to follow you to an alley to ask him something and then after he left you stayed... agenst your own will. We believe you were under the Imperious Curse then someone impersonated you with a Polyjuice potion." There was an uncomfortable silence which was soon broken by crying. Lily was sobbing hysterically her son and then her husband both today had been hit by an Unforgivable Curse. All that she had been trying (unseccessfully) to hold in came spill out of her. James wrapped his arms lovingly around his wife pulling her only his lap. She sobbed hysterically into his shoulder. His mind went back to the last time his wife was  truely this upset.

At least it's not Harry, I wouldn't be able to stand it if our little boy was in danger

His arms tightened around her at this remembrance.

"Your son," Mrs. Cattermole continued "was being treated by, we are truley sorry to say by a" she glanced around nervously "a D-Death Eater" All the color drained from Lily's face.

"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE BLOODY KINDING ME!" James roared jumping out of his seat. "I-I.... THIS IS RUDEY REDICULOUS!"

"We quite agree Mr. Potter"

"BLOODY RIGHT YOU SHOULD!"

"James please..." Lily sobbed "Let her finish! I want to see my son!" James, still glaring at Mrs. Cattermole sat back down. Outside Alice couldn't take it any more. She staggered to her feet from where she had been squatting next to the door and took off running down the hall tear streaming down her freckled face.

"Alice!" Ginny cried she stood to chase her friend. Inside the room everyone froze at the sound of the little girls name. Lily, quickley followed by James raced to the door and flung it open reveiling a panicking Ginny Weasley. An awkward silence followed. Ginny stood figiting her eyes turned to the tiled ground. Every once in a while she glanced towards the hallway in which Alice had disappeared. Neither Lily nor James knew how to ask the many questions popping up inside them without being rude.
