Lily watched as the night took over the sky. She closed her eyes even though she knew sleep wouldn't be taking her over anytime soon. Images of Harry bleeding, thrashing about, moaning and crying burned in the back of her eyelids. She quickley opened her eyes again. She looked over to the small cot and smiled. All five of her children were snuggled together under it's thin sheets. Kendra was lying on Alice. Frank on Harry and Ariana was snuggled up between them both, her thumb in her mouth. Lily had tried to get the younger ones to go home, but no amount of coxing could pry them from their big brother.

Slowly Lily rose from her seat and walked over to the cot. She gently pushed Harry's messy hair out of his eyes before kissing his forhead. She started to turn around to leave the room when two hands wrapped around her waist. She twisted around to face James.

"J-Just the person I was looking for" Lily said softly, trying not to wake up her kids. Her voice was still choked up with trama and sadness. James pulled her close and hugged her. She buried her face in his shoulder sobbing quietly. He rubbed small soothing circles on her back.

"Shhhhh... everythings going to be alright" James soothed. Lily nodded dutifully. "I swear."

"Do you solemnly swear?" she asked, cracking a small smile.

"And all that jazz." James replied. "Harry's off to Hogwarts tomorrow and everything." Lily just nodded again as tears welled up in her eyes again.

"My poor little baby" she moaned. "What if something were to happen l-like it did today at- at the school?"

"Lilyflower you really have got to stop worrying. He'll be fine, he'll be with Dumbledore and Hagrid. He'll be alright."

"Yup" piped up a groggy voice from behind them. "I'll be fine mum" Lily slowly turned around. "I promise I'll only break the rules a bit. I'll stay out of trouble... unless Malfoy has anything to do with it" Lily laughed internally at how similar her husband and son were.

"I-I just want to make sure your ok..." Lily sighed heavily looking older than she had that morning.

"Mum I'll be perfectly fine" Harry repied smoothing Alice's hair which was fanning the whole bed. He raised his hand to stiffle a yawn. "Atleast I finished all the shopping I needed for school tomorrow"

Lily smiled softly. "Good night Harry." she said as she kissed him softly on the forehead.

"'Night Mum" He replied before James shut off the lights.

****The Next Morning****

Lily woke up and stretched. Her back ached from lying curled up in a small plastic chair all night. Slowly in cramped steps she walked over to James who was lying on the floor.

"Good morning" Lily whispered as she shook him awake.

"What?" Asked James groggily.

"Good morning" Lily repeated. "It's nine o'clock, the Hogwarts express leaves in three hours and we have five kids to wake up, dress, feed and get there and one trunk to pack. So I suggest you get up." She pecked him on the cheek and stood up to wake up the kids.

James sulluted her mumbling "Yes ma'am" through his slumber.

"Time to get up." Lily said sing-songily over the children's bed. Five simaltanious groans followed this remark. "Come on guys. Harry leaves for Hogwarts in less than two hours." Lily picked up Kendra and flipped on the blinding light. James along with Harry, Alice, Frank and Ariana rolled over so they weren't desterbed by the lights. Kendra burried her pudgy face into Lily's shoulder.

"To bwight!" She moaned sleepily. LIily sighed.

"I'm going home to make chocolate crossants since I promised Harry I would make some. Who ever isn't up, and who ever's trunk isn't packed" Lily added in Harry and James' directions. "when I get back doesn't get any." With that she and Kendra apperated away.
