The summer holiday was about to be over and I was going to be in my final class in middle school, the 9th grade. It meant I was going to be writing middle school final exams soon. Not like it was so important but I really took it upon my self as a challenge. I have to beat middle school and enter high school triumphantly.

The alarm clock beside my bed rang continuously and I tried my possible best to ignore it but as usual, it wanted to show me who's boss. I'm really going to throw it away one of these days. I gently got up and rested my back on the bed frame and sighed, still not opening my eyes. My back ached and my belly felt very empty. I rested like that for some minutes before going to drink a glass of water and then to brush my teeth. Ever since I had heard how healthy it was to drink water before brushing my teeth, I hardly failed to do that. I brushed my teeth and came back to eat. I decided to do some yoga or so, whatever it was, before going to do any other thing. To be sincere I had no clue what I wanted to do. It was just 6 am.
By the time it was just 20 mins before 8 o'clock I hadn't prepared for school. Classic me. I glanced at my phone for a minute, intending to start chatting with a few of my classmates who would've been online by then. I hi'd and sent waves and hurriedly wore my clothes and started with my hair. I don't like having to just carry my hair in buns or just leave it dangling over my shoulder. I liked creating hacks, fashion hacks, hair hacks etc. Today, I picked out my best colors, I was feeling happy even though I was going to be late for school. I wore a black singlet and black leggings with a yellow jacket tied around my waist. I put the edges of my hair in twists, all around my head and made a french braid at the back of my hair and pulled the twists alongside the remaining hair, in a way that the twists were lined up along my hair and I used my yellow rubber band to hold it up. I then tied a yellow ribbon over it. While walking to the bathroom to get God-knows-what, I accidentally kicked my bedside table and fell on the floor slightly pushing the table. My hair dye that I had bought and accidentally left there, open, fell on my hair and stained some parts. I was freaking out but went to the mirror to check how it was.
"Oh.. my.. goodness!" My brother exclaimed while coming into my room.
"What?" I asked getting pissed off and scared that it looked bad.
"Your hair." He said obviously trying to hold back his laughter, I know cause he was holding a lot of air in his mouth. He quickly left the room and went to school, I could hear him laugh while going out of the door.
"Oh my god I need to do something about it now." I said panicking. I quickly added some more dye over the entire hair to make it all round black but not jet.
By the time I was done, it was already 8:19. I knew I was late but I just wasn't bothered, I'm used to it. And after all I needed to go late to avoid them asking questions during the school's morning inspection.
I took my bag, placed my books, my phone, headset, and walked out the door without failing to collect cash from my parents for snacks in school during lunch break.

At the school
I cant believe first period isn't over yet, I really didn't want to go into a class and the teacher would begin doing what I tried to avoid by coming late. I had no choice but to go into the class, Mathematics class, my favorite but I just didn't want to go into the class for stated reasons.
"Stop!!" The principal said.
"Yes ma'am?"
"You're just coming to school when the first period is almost over? Who do you think you are? The owner of the school?" She annoyingly continued. Like I'd want to be the owner of this filth. Eye roll.
And the usual drill began. In the end, I got detention. Honestly I couldn't care anymore. My mum doesn't care if I'm early or not, she even made me get used to being late cause she usually made me wait so much for my sister for these past years. I don't want to talk about my family, I vote school life, my school life.
