*Our story begins with Nishikata sitting down at his desk alone in the classroom*
Nishikata: Ugh.... I hate doing day duty.... but no matter, I can't wait to see Takagi-San's face when I spook her with this new jack in the box I made... What I did was print a picture of that face that pops up at the end of this online maze game and tape it onto a little spring. And when I surprise Takagi-San with this, oh man, she's gonna be so scared!!! I just need to be a bit sneakier about this....
*Bell rings, everyone walks in....... except for Takagi...*
Nishikata: That's weird.... where is she...? ...... maybe she's running a bit late....
*Time passes and Takagi STILL hasn't showed up*
Nishikata: *still looking at Takagi's desk* Where the heck is she??? Is she.... absent today?
*Lunch time*
Nishikata: *while eating* So I guess Takagi-San really IS absent today. Darn!!! I was really looking forward to using this jack in the box on her.... oh well...I guess I could wait until tomorrow to pull this off.... assuming she arrives tomorrow. But what could've made her not show up today?
*After school*
Nishikata: *walking home* Not gonna lie, it was pretty weird going through this entire school day without Takagi-San... I guess I'm not used to just not getting teased or something.... uhh... not like I miss her or anything... *blushes*....
*The next day*
Nishikata: *walking to school* Thankfully I don't have day duty today, so if she's going to school today, I should run into her in just a few minutes... *pulls jack in the box out of his pocket* Maybe this will be my chance to use this jack in the box on her!! *Evil smirk*
*Eventually, Nishikata makes to the junction where they usually meet when they're walking to school together... only to see that she's not there...*
Nishikata: .... where on earth is she???? Ok, don't panic, maybe SHE had day duty today.... no, that's impossible... I'm supposed to help her with her day duties from now on due to the penalty from one of the games I lost... she would've called me or texted me!!! *looks at the jack in the box in his hand* I guess I should've left this home....
*at school... during lunch*
Nishikata: Day 2 and she STILL hasn't showed up.... I guess I should probably text her and see what's going on... *Nishikata pulls out his phone and sends a text to Takagi that reads "Hey, I've noticed you haven't been showing up to school, everything okay?"*
Nishikata: alright... hopefully she'll respond soon...
*later that night*
Nishikata: It's almost 10:00 and she STILL hasn't responded... I wonder if something happened.... whatever, I'll just go to bed, and hopefully I'll get a response by tomorrow morning or something...
